Sprint is "unofficially" flipping the Band 41 carrier aggregation switch in many areas. People who own CA devices on Sprint should do a profile update to enable it. The theoretical max is 160Mbps. Sprint is already matching carriers in reliability scores. It's about time they step into the speed arena.

+Robert Eldridge Awesome job!

Lol ya its sad that +Applenws thinks they can do what they want. I'm actually considering getting my family all androids on the next go around just because apple thinks they are more superior and doesn't want the best for their customers and their carriers

To the general public Android only comes in two flavors, Droid and Galaxy. I don't like that.

Sprint has begun rolling out carrier aggregation with the first confirmed sighting in Atlanta on a Galaxy S6. (Note: The user had to manually enable carrier aggregation as Sprint has not yet issued an update to take advantage of this.

Sprint had 1.2 Million net additions in Q1 2015. Postpaid net adds of 211,000 and prepaid net adds of 546,000. Wholesale net adds of 492,000. Sprint only lost 201,000 postpaid phones as opposed to 600,000 in Q4 2014.

Sprint postpaid churn improved incredibly dropping from 2.30 to 1.86.

Postpaid net port positive for the quarter - first time in nearly three years.

Their LTE network now covers 280 Million people which is about 87% of the U.S. population and they're in the final stages of planning their network densification and expansion program. They are in the final stages, where they're selecting vendors, balancing macro/pico cells counts, etc.

+Richard Gibbens Just looking at network metrics for the first half of 2015 it's evident that Sprint is starting to tie and in msome cases beat the competition in network performance. Not only in calls and texts, but also in data.

Sprint just made a ton of announcements all at once so I'll list them in condensed form for all of you:

1) Today Sprint is launching WiFi Connect, which is a WiFi router that prioritizes Sprint specific WiFi Calling over all other WiFi traffic and includes Smart Connect technology that dynamically manages 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi bands for optimal WiFi data performance, delivering a great Sprint customer experience in homes or small offices.  The solution is available free of charge to qualified customers.

2) Sprint's small cell solution is set to be deployed in the near future and is supposed to include LTE as well as WiFi.

3) Sprint has teamed up with Boingo in order to provide seamless WiFi service at 35 major airports throughout the U.S. Whenever you're in proximity of a Boingo hotspot, you will automatically connect to it and your Sprint data is prioritized.

4) Canada was added to the list of countries with Sprint's Free International Data Roaming. Sprint claims that although their competitors offer more countries, they now include 80% of the most popular destinations for their customers wanting this service. They're still adding more countries as time goes on.

5) Sprint says that their phone activation rate increased from 14% of all phone activations to 17%, indicating an almost 25% increase in phone activations on their network.

I'm Bryce, I'm from Brooklyn, and I love technology.
Introduction
My name is Bryce and I'm from Brooklyn, NY. I consider myself well travelled and well cultured. I've visited 80% of the countries in the Caribbean and have experienced their cultures as well. As of right now I speak two languages fluently (English and Spanish) but I am in the process of learning German, Dutch, and Portuguese.

I've always had a knack for technology, especially phones. My more recent interests though, are networking. I'm commonly referred to as the Sprint troll but I don;t like to consider myself that. I defend Sprint because they work for me and not many other will. There has to be an alternative viewpoint. However, I still think Verizon is the best network in the U.S.
