For anyone that's ever worked with "that guy."
Don’t worry! We all know what it’s like. Those horrible, sneaky, sleazy, dishonest, backbiting, manipulative, and awfully impossible-to-work-with co-workers are everywhere. It’s just like high school again, where you simply can’t rid of that annoying bully who’s ready to make a rude ...

Excellent tool for anyone who subscribes to the Pomodoro technique.
With the New Year in hand, most of us have ambitious plans and a huge laundry list of things we want to get done. It might consist of writing, getting more organized at work, or whatever you envision yourself becoming this year. But like many of us, as the year goes on those old habits somehow ...

Excellent Infographic for all the job seekers out there.
You just came home after a horrible day at work. Your boss is stressing you out and drives you crazy. You know you are under appreciated and underpaid and the resentment for the job is building up to a point you can barely hold it in. So you get home and tell yourself,

Good information, for anyone currently job seeking.
About a thousand articles come out each week on the subject of job interview tips, so I don't typically share these kind of posts on Careertopia. However, today's infographic from CollegeAtlas.org presents the results of a two thousand hiring manager survey in a thoughtful presentation I ...

Great post from an excellent public speaker.
Often the best way of achieving career growth is to look for opportunities at a different company. This can be nerve-racking but essential for those who wish to climb the career ladder and become experts in their field. Interviews are always worrying as you are keen to make a good impression ...

Do you plan to go to university? That educational melting pot of stuffy lecture theatres, tiresome tutorials and annoying classmates – not to mention enough hangovers to make a gap year spent at the Priory seem like a good idea. If you make it through to the end, you’ll be rewarded with ...

Interesting. I think the best thing to remember is that our job is a means to an end. I will answer that all consuming question with: I work really hard so I can be a happy dad and husband. That's what I do.

Judge Judy was never something I'd describe as must watch television. In fact, the only times I remember seeing the show, were on the quick lunch breaks I took while working as a teller at Bank of America.  It was pretty much the only thing on basic television around 1:00pm in the afternoon. ...

Fascinating.
What would you do if you sat in a New York City Office, in front of a handful of top ad executives, offering you a million dollars to be part of their advertising campaign.  The only catch was you had to live in NYC for the next year. Most of us would take it in a heartbeat. Pack the bags, ...

This is the first shop in a long time to really look out for the customer. They've looked after my cars for a number of years now and every time they save me money and keep my family safe. When our transmission went out, they hunted for an extended warranty and had us take it to a dealer to save money. When we charged our AC after it went out near the end of the summer, only to have it leak out over the weekend, they let us bring it back in to get diagnosed at no charge. There have been plenty of opportunities they could have scammed or taken advantage of me and I would have been none the wiser. This is a shop you can trust.
