QLC 060: TRAVELING FOR A PURPOSE WITH JORGE BRANCO

Today I'm excited to welcome Jorge Branco to The Quarter Life Comeback podcast.

Jorge Branco is the founder of World Travelers Association whose insatiable curiosity and adventurer's spirit led him down a path of discovering the meaning of a purposeful life.

At 23, Jorge had an idea of traveling the world to make himself better, and to make the world a better place at the same time.

His desire to connect and learn about different communities propelled him to begin volunteering at schools, orphanages, and villages around the world. By combining his background in Psychology and the experiences gained from exploring and living all over the world, the idea of traveling for a purpose became a reality.

In the last few years, Jorge has grown his dream into fruition by creating a Non-Profit Organization that travels for a purpose. Sharing purpose and happiness through adventure travel is Jorge's life goal and the vision for the World Traveler's Association.

QLC 059: HOW TO OVERCOME FEAR AND REVEL WITH ERIN KAMEIKO

Today I’m excited to welcome Erin Kameiko to The Quarter Life Comeback podcast.

Erin Kameiko is a coach and consultant who helps people find and align with their unique core values in order to create a more authentic life.

Like so many of us, Erin followed the safe route and found herself chasing life and career milestones that weren’t really meaningful to her. It wasn’t until she started living according to her values and releasing the fear of not being perfect that life opened up.

This new, “value-guided” way of living led her on a journey of self-discovery that crumbled every part of the foundation she had spent her life building, including her corporate career and a long-term relationship.

Erin subsequently left that career, ended her relationship and got a master’s degree in Psychology, which she now uses to guide others through self-discovery via her work at Project Revel.

“Safe and comfortable only feels good for so long”

IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN:
- What to do when the things you thought you wanted no longer are
- The side of big life changes that no one talks about
- How to balance stability with a need for freedom
- How to avoid the trap of social comparison
- Why self-improvement is useless without self-acceptance (this is huge!)
- How to identify and live according to your core values

QLC 057: THE 10 CHARACTERISTICS OF A CHAMPION

Today I'm excited to share another solo episode for The Quarter Life Comeback podcast.

I was recently honored to be invited back to my high school as the guest speaker for their annual Summer Sports Awards.

As you know, being a motivational speaker at an event was one of the items on my Life List, so I was stoked to be able to cross that off.

But more than that, I was excited to be able to share some of the best things I've learned from hosting a weekly podcast for the last 57 weeks with a young audience about to go out into the real world.

I'd love to be able to tell you it felt really natural and easy, but the truth is I felt far from comfortable. Just like before a big game with our rival school, my hands were shaking, my palms sweaty and my heart beat a little faster.

But then a funny thing happened. Once I got into it, I relaxed and really enjoyed myself. In fact, the whole experience has got me pumped to do more events like this and kickstart my speaking career.

You can see some footage from the talk here, but make sure you follow me on Instagram and Facebook where I'll share more as it comes out.

Finally, if you know of any groups looking for a speaker, please let me know! I'd love to share what I've learned with more people :)

“If you don't know where you are going, you're never going to get there”

IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN:
- The 10 characteristics for becoming a champion
- How to start turning your vision into a reality
- The 2 most important rituals to adopt right now
- Why your dreams are like road trips
- How to find your purpose
- The 3 components of a winning team
