Should one bring tank in a mech fight? Well, here're two classic tank from Zambot 3 and Daitarn 3.

The first is Mecha Boost Tracid, a combination of dozen or so tanks into a mechanical monster (that somehow get wire anchor and drill missile arm). I really love how the twin cannon look like eye/antenna of its two head. For SRW fan, the thing is common Zambot 3 enemy that's pretty much a glorified tank (it attack with just cannon, missile, and gatling, never use those arms).

The second is Ultimate Tank Nibelungen from Daitarn 3. Made by former Nazi's weapon designer who become mechanoid to utilize their tech for realize his dream of making an ultimate tank. Its immense size even make the 80 meters Daitank look like a toy. Still, it's defeated after Daitank transform into Daitarn 3, and it got modified into the world's largest remote control toy afterward (although the mechanoid later build more). Also, Hesler himself has tank-motif mechaborg form.

(Despite Okawara's late Gundam designs are pretty boring. His more extreme designs like these (either super robot series or heavy real series like Votoms) is undeniable a good proof that he's truly a legend.)
