Processed in PixInsight

I took about 100 subs, but many where trailing. I think my mount is having mechanical difficulties. What should have been one of my longest images turned into a short one, despite how long I spent on it.

Colors greatly Exaggerated. Still trying to find the right balance, and how to make it look good.

I last imaged this in 2012, and it was very bad. Bad telescope, bad tracking, bad processing... This is a major improvement

Not a planet, but a planetary nebula. These type of objects are named such because they resembled large planets in small telescopes of the time, and then because it was thought to be condensing to form planets, rather than exploding stars. So your confusion is understandable, and you are in good company.

Exposure time was short because the moon was nearby. Probably should have chosen a different target. Also, forgot Darks for this exposure time.

I took a good 25 subs of this, but I started having mechanical difficulties with my mount, rendering most unusable.

I've done versions where I didn't touch the saturation, where I specifically converted to black and white, where I bumped the saturation so there's just a hint of color. This one I just pushed it until just before it started looking fake. Maybe with better seeing and finer detail, I could go further, or maybe it's already too far. I don't know. It's interesting

Accidentally left camera at 32s rather than bulb and didn't realize it for about an hour. Then ran out of space on my card when doing darks.
