I used the reviews here to choose this company, so I thought it was important to add my own. Notice all the reviews that mention techs by name. They pay them for good reviews. I won't mention any names. I set up an appointment to service my air conditioning, even discussing the specifics and the coupon on their web site, and cleared all my appointments for the day 2 days in advance (at great expense to me). When nobody showed, I called back and was told I had no appointment. I had even written down the name of the person I spoke to, but the representative I talked to didn't want to hear it and just hung up on me! When I finally got one of their servicemen to come out, he didn't even want to look at my system. He just wanted to sell me a new one. I even asked if he could take a look at the mini-split system in my workout room to make sure I would at least have that until the new system was installed, but he just wouldn't. This was supposed to be a senior tech. Anyway, he gave me a ballpark figure and promised to email me a written quote that afternoon. When nothing showed up, I called him and he gave some vague excuse. When the quote finally arrived, it didn't include what we had discussed and was about $1,000 too high. I'm so glad I went with another company. You will be too!

I've learned that Bruno doesn't do AC calls, but sales calls. I was excited about their low cost annual contract plan. I should have realized they have to make their money some how. We bought a new home and Bruno was our first call. On our initial appointment, they suggested a lot of work, including over $2500 to seal our system to improve function and eliminate air loss in the ducts. I declined this and when I had the ducts cleaned, I mentioned I'd been told to seal the system. "By which company, Bruno?", he asked. He said he's been hearing that a lot lately and it's their new favorite thing to pitch. On the next appointment, the tech told me I needed a new switch on the condenser to help the system start better. It would be over $500. I told him I would talk to my husband first. He called me three more times trying to get me to say yes. I felt pressured and uncomfortable with his approach. I called my old AC company to take a look and they replaced the switch for $150. He also said the entire system was on its last leg and would have to be replaced soon. Just this month, I had them back again because my system wasn't cooling. I changed the filter and it started working again fine, but I figured for the bargain price of $29, I should have them come look just in case there was a bigger problem. Now I was told "bad news", my evaporator coil was leaking and needed to be replaced. He said he could fill the fluids for a "few hundred dollars" but that it would be a waste of my time when the whole coil needed to come out anyway. He said with parts and labor, I was looking at $2500, $3000. On a ten year old AC. He even took a picture for me to show me the problem. I called my old company back out for a maintenance call and didn't mention anything Bruno said. They were here servicing my unit over 1.5 hours. At the end, he let me know my evaporator coil had needed a cleaning and had a clogged drain or plug or something to that effect, that he took care of it, filled fluids, took care of everything else, for the cost of $85. I will never call or recommend Bruno again. An AC company should pay techs a decent wage and having them provide honest, cost effective service. That's how you have integrity and keep customers. I've come to expect that every one of their visits will alert me to some new problem that will supposedly cost me huge money to fix. Very Disappointed.

My dad (senior citizen)needed to replace a water heater, so he needed an estimate a sales guy told my dad if you wanted a great water heater it would costhim 3 to 5 thousand dollars.So he went and got a great water heater with Water Heaters Direct for $850 with a ten year warranty

Called at 12am for an a/c repair Now it's 2am no call back no a/c I've call there office 3 time and they have no reason for why I have not got a call back Thank for wasting my time Should have call some one else And you should do the same I guess they have got to big to fast and now the money is rolling in thank to the tv shows and they can't keep up or don't care I Will never call them for any thing

Had Bruno ac install a new ac about 3 weeks ago to the sum of 5,000. Been working great until today I get home to a house at the temp of 88 degrees which is no fun being as I work in manual labor and sweat all day to come home to a house that's worse than the system we replaced. I called Bruno ac to be told oh there might be a service call charge if that does happen they can take that ac with them and I'll find a company that stands behind there product. Overall feeling like I chose the wrong company. When a the fact that the ac they removed struggled but was better than coming home to sweat more 😠UPDATE SINCE LAST POST they have been out to fix my ac twice and received my electric bill last month only to find out the bill is far more than its ever been in the past 5 years because the ac once they get it going again has to cool the house more than 10 degrees and today here we go again it's broken once more !! Bruno air has been out twice since the last review both times because the ac completely stopped working and we woke up or came home to a house in the high 80's and now we've come home to a broken ac again I am beyond furious and wish they could refund me my money take this junk out that they just put in and I can have a more knowledgeable ac company install a proper working ac. The sad thing is our original ac was working fine we just had a minor problem and decided to be proactive. Biggest mistake ever!! I feel like Bruno air should do more than just send someone out to "fix" the issue I even had to go out and buy a portable ac unit because I don't enjoy my almost 2 year old daughter sitting in a house that's this hot and if this was a car at this point I could technically lemon law it only wish there was that law for air conditioners....ONE MORE UPDATE Air conditioner is broken again 😢😓 all I want is my old account back at this point Bruno air has showed me just how little true customer service means to them.my house is hott again I have my portable ac I was forced to buy with this whole BRUNO experience in my room my wife daughter two dogs sleeping in there and I'll be sleeping on the hot couch. I'm sure my electric bill is going to be really high again this month again from having to run this portable ac as often as I have had to. It's sad my portable ac is 1000 times more reliable than my brand new full ac unit I just purchased from Bruno...and it's broken again.HOPEFYLLY last update had MARHALL Sikes out who is a really good person and tech he got me going than it went back out later that day I contacted Bruno air in the morning at 9 to be told nobody could get back out to me till around noon,I text Marshall and he came from his house around 30 minutes later which is cool because he didn't get home till after 2a.m that morning he got me going and a senior tech name of Brad Ballantine came by spent a few hours diagnosed a bad motor and switch board which I couldn't get till the next day so they brought a couple ac's to keep my house cool till the next day. The next day brad installed the new blower and switch board only to find it fried my control wires and also my thermostat,so he continued looking for the issue causing all this mayham and found wires shorted out going thru the wall outside replaced those got me a new thermostat and ac has been working great since. Also spoke to mr. Luis Bruno himself that others say it's impossible to do and it only took one phone call and got right back to me and he also helped me out in every way he possibly could so on that note my ac problems are solved and between Luis Bruno Marshall Sikes and Brad Ballantine my faith in the company has been restored and I am now a happy customer thank you to the three of yall big time

Contacted Bruno over 4 weeks ago to get an estimate/proposal to install the entire A/C system in my under-construction new home. Took several days to get a call back and appointment. Met with a Brno Rep who took a set of plans and energy calcs with him. No news. Called and got an excuse. No news. Called & asked to speak with his supervisor. Got a call from the original rep with an excuse. No action. Called to speak with his supervisor again and again got a return call from the same rep with another excuse. It's been over 4 weeks and I called the rep yesterday, another excuse. I have 4 other bids that have been done for 2weeks. I wanted to do business with Bruno but it's not happening. Glad I had this experience with them now instead of when I really needed them.

The air conditioner techs did not show for two appointments, when they finally did show up they "fixed" my less than 4-year-old air conditioner for $500. Less than a week later it stopped working and they came back and gave me an estimate of $3500 to "fix" it again.
