Hi! Maybe this is the right place to ask. We (+xamoom) offer a SaaS product to enable anybody to  create their own Location Based Service fast, easy and a lot cheaper than custom solutions. We also offer a lot of open APIs and Tools to extend the functionalitty or build on top of our service, which btw. runs on +Google Cloud Platform. Now we want to target as many devs as possible to show them how they could benefit by using our platform as a backend for their customer solutions. Any hints how to target as much developers as possible without annoying them?

I have seen a lot of campaigns and tools that should be used to kill in-company email. Btw. I'm talking here ONLY about email inside of copanies, because email will stay the #1 technology for communication between companies for a long time. There is currently nothing that could replace that. Inside a company this is different, because you could get rid of these hunders of emails easily, if you have something that covers the actual usecase of email. Person-to-Person (or group) messaging including files. I've seen a lot of tools that should do that, but instead they were Facebook-Clones. If Facebook would cover the usecase of email, email would be dead for years, but that's not the case. To get users, even employees to use something different it has to be better than what they have now and also fit their needs. Now that you've really managed to read that much text in a Google+ post, I want to tell you that we actually found a solution that works for us AND that it actually replaced email inside the company AND that it is fun and seemless to use on any device. For communication we use Slack. It allows us to communicate Person-to-Person or in groups. Group Channels can be created easily by any user to open discussions or just share what's interessting with exact the people that should see that, without annoying the others. I think Slack did a great job fullfilling the needs of modern company needs in terms of communication. But this only worked, because these guys made an awesome job at keeping it simple. Simplicity and user focus design is key here, because if you have to explain something or wait for users to get used to, your users won't switch from good old email to something new.
