Okay a challenge for #KDE supporter. I'm doing my first steps with plasma5 with a brand new laptop. it normally run it's 15.6" screen at 3840x2160 pixels for a given (nvidia, kinfocenter) 287dpi resolution

I've tried to setup the fonts to something normal, but I get this not so good deskop.

Anyone from +The KDE Community can drive me to where shall I start the hunt ?

Is this Leap or Tumbleweed, Bruno?

In case of Leap, the behaviour is explained by the fact that not all KDE Applications are Plasma5, f.e. Kontact suite uses the KDE4 versions. On Tumbleweed the KDE Applications stack is (almost) completely Frameworks5 based.

#FOSDEM opening session. This time +Lennart Poettering get a room with enough place :)

Was too bad people leaving during the Q/A
Guess they got bored by dnssec. I found interesting to discover why a good techno is almost not used.

End of #pgday here at Brussels. Again a perfect day of good talks, with fresh content, creative fun around my favorite blue Elephant.
Another success for postgresql.eu staff which manage that quite well.

Some news about #PostgreSQL :
- First there's the day track at #FOSDEM on sunday building H
- There will be the booth don't miss the goodies there building K
- If you are a member of postgresql.eu association, starting tuesday you can vote for your board members.
- If you are not (yet) a member you can join, and pay an expensive 10€ for 2 years membership and join us.
- Next postgresql.eu conference will happen in Tallin between the 1st and 4th November.
The community is looking for talks, not only the latest and greatest hacks around postgresql, but also talks about use case : how did you use postgresql, what's going well, and also not so. If you are stuck on another DB engine, come and explain why.

A most have information to know if you're using #Tumbleweed #openSUSE

A big thanks to our KDE packager Team.

KDE Applications 15.12.1 has been submitted to Factory and brings along a couple of changes in the default programs. See below post for the changes.

If you do not want these changes, then the advice would be to lock the programs you want to keep in the Software Management module of YaST.

Stay away ! I repeat if you don't understand stay away. For a booking resevartion for Sfr 270 you paid 330. They put extra charge everywhere, (I'm exlcuding the normal extra tourism taxes). On the reservation, it's written down Service 10% on the invoice you will get Bank Fee 1.2% (why we paid in Sfr), Service Fee 5% and booking Fee 15%. The most crazy invoice never seen. If you tell them that you don't want the breakfast, nor dinner on site, be prepared to have a bad behaviour. Sorry we visit friends at Randa who kinda invite us for dinner and breakfast. Wifi coverage is poor in rooms, and the rate proposed is overpriced 10 Sfr per day. etc ... Too bad, the place was promising, but it's not real.
