It's been an #airnz kind of day... Visited the Air New Zealand 75 year exhibit at the Te Papa museum, and discovered a case of autographed model planes in the Koru lounge. Sam and Frodo signed this one.

"The truth is that seemingly lucky people are opportunists. They do the things that allow them to take advantage of the world around them."

I couldn't agree more...

Discovered this park on Google Maps. There was little information about it, so was a bit reluctant, but decided to give it a go given the size of the park. It contained some great trails that were well marked. Vegetation was dense tropical ferns. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a few hours of wooded hiking on the island.

Average and expensive is how I would describe it. The menu is fairly limited, but to their credit the food choices offered are tasty. Be prepared to empty your wallet if you are tempted to enjoy a small, weak margarita. Four drinks and a few tapas will easily set you back $200 leaving you feeling as though you were just fleeced as you depart.

Truly one of the best holiday rental experiences I've ever had. Topiary Haven is a cottage located behind the owners home. Separating the two is a magnificent garden. The cottage is modern, and very well appointed. The kitchen had everything, and I mean *everything* you would ever need. Topiary Haven is conveniently located in a quiet suburb of Launceston. A short drive in one direction leads you to the Gorge, a top attraction in the area. A short drive in the other leads you to town, river, or the many nearby wineries. The owners were extremely friendly and made sure we were well cared for. If I ever make it back to Launceston, I'd definitely stay here again.

This was my first time to Bajis Cafe. It was rated highly, so decided to give it a go. I was greeted by a very friendly and polite young man who also waited on me. He was very attentive, always ensuring my coffee cup was full and that I had what I needed. The breakfast menu was sizable, offering pretty much whatever you wanted. My eggs were cooked just right. I'll definitely be returning next time I'm in the local area.

Larus cottage was a lovely little holiday rental conveniently located to Point Arthur. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The view over the bay was peaceful and serene.
