Do I have Sheldon's old laptop? Yes I do! Do I have Sheldon's new laptop that Amy bought him? Yes I do! I swear, I didn't do it on purpose. A very nice young man just traded me a 3 month old Alienware blinged out laptop for some camera gear. Complete coincidence!

Interesting time for us. Our choice of a much less harmful alternative to smoking may soon be squashed by our all about common FDA. Even the UK's version of the FDA said it is 95% safer than tobacco. Sad puppy and 'nuff said by me. I don't like to get polit...

Phase 1 of DiY E-Juice
Flavorings and measuring tools arrived. Still waiting for the base liquids, nicotine solution and bottles. I have over half dozen juice recipes picked out for the first wave. I've accumulated about 30 that I've saved for later. Pretty stoked to try this out...

Run, don't walk and update your Adobe Lightroom. The performance increase on my systems has been absolutely ridiculous. This is how it always should have been! I feel like my laptops have gotten upgraded!

Griffin Conquered!
Finally! No leaks and wicking fine with single coil! After over a dozen attempts and numerous YouTube videos and forum threads, I got it! So, what I ended up having to do is fool myself. I fluffed up the ends of the wick and just eased it over the holes. I ...

E-juice mixing for the first time
Dove in today and made some e-juice and the obligatory cup of coffee, of course! First bottle was Pina Colada at 30/70, PG/VG. It was a lot thicker than the stuff I normally buy at the supposed same ratio. Decided to make 40/60 for the rest of the batch. Te...

Do I have to upgrade now, too?
My video and sound work fine. I do have a bad USB port though. The specs on Sheldon's new one sound really good! Hmm... NAH!

+1's family, photography, guitars, tech, helicopters, cars, japanese stuff and anything else that's cool.
Introduction
Right now I'm going through a renewed interest in photography. In the late 70's, I was active in 35mm through to the beginning of digital, but life started getting hectic and I lost my way for a few years. I'm having to relearn just about everything and that's okay. That's part of what makes it fun!

I casually play guitar and am a bit of a geek. Love cars, especially Corvettes, helicopters and oriental things. My family is my life and I like it like that! I have many other interests, but no where near the time to count them as hobbies, so here I end my shortened bio. That's me in a nutshell.

We went down to my hometown in Key West and this restaurant appeared since we were there last and decided to try it out. We ended up there twice for lunch. There were four of us for the first visit and eight for the second. The first time, I gently mentioned to the waitress that I grew up down there and asked about their catch of the day fish sandwich, which was yellow tail. Where I'm living now, fish sandwiches are nothing to write home about. I just didn't want to be disappointed. I was reassured that it would be fine, so that is what I ended up getting. Honestly, to my surprise, it was really good. Cooked perfectly with none of the "fishy" taste that I have to put up with in my local area. Everyone liked what they ordered and the staff was attentive and friendly. The second time, I ordered the same thing and the experience was identical. This time, with more people the orders were more diverse and everything was fresh and good. Appetizers were great and we had absolutely no complaints. We would have gone back several more times in the week we were there, but the timing just didn't work out that way. I would recommend Red Fish Blue Fish without hesitation.

This is our go to place for Cuban food when we visit my hometown in Key West. Last time we were there was 8 years ago and I would have given it 5 stars. It wasn't as good this time as they set the bar so high when we were here last, as I'll explain below. We usually spend a week and go there several times. The food and staff are great, but a couple times on this last trip, some of the food didn't come out hot. Some of it was barely room temperature, but the flavor was excellent. That didn't stop us though. We ate there 5 times during this last trip and we'll definitely visit again next time we go down there.
