i think its a good start. The world is too inter-connected today; does'nt make any sense to isolate countries and sanctions may not always have the desired effect.  But again in the interest of peace in Middle East which is a very complex region with religious fault-lines; there needs to be sustained effort to engage and keep all players in check !
