Hello! I have news from the writer's hovel.

We're now just two weeks away from MCM London Comic Con, and my final preparations (read: last-minute rush) for the event are underway. I'll be in MCM's Comic Village (Table CG6), 26th, 27th and 28th May, signing books from the Sam Hain - Occult Detective series of novellas, while shaping strange sorcery, as well as releasing new and exciting stuff from the Sam Hain universe, including awesome original artwork by Matthew Fair and Camilla Winquist.

If you're going to be at MCM, come by Tall Tales Studios at Table CG6 in Comic Village to say hello, have a chat and flick through some books! I look forward to seeing you there.

Sorting things in preparation for MCM London Comic Con this weekend. My mind is in a similar state of disarray as the flat. Books are organised though!

I'll be at MCM all weekend (27th - 29th) signing my books (the Sam Hain series and Far Beneath the Distant Stars) at Tall Tales Studios, Table CH4 in Comic Village. If you're going to be there, pop by and say hello!

More details about MCM and purchasing tickets for the event can be found here: http://www.mcmcomiccon.com/london/

I was ludicrously proud to wake up this morning to discover that the first Sam Hain novella, All Hallows' Eve, was number one among the nominations of Inkitt's ‪#Shiver‬ paranormal and supernatural literature.

Since then, some of the other great stories in the competition have overtaken, although I'm still in the top five (and still immensely proud!). Please follow the link below to read All Hallows' Eve for free and vote for it - just click the Heart at the bottom of the screen and sign in with Facebook etc. - to help boost its rank (and my ego), and if you enjoy it please leave a review! And if you really really enjoy it, share it with anyone who you feel may enjoy it also. Any support and feedback is greatly appreciated.

"I urge whoever receives this to take note of my experiences, of the fate that befell the Endeavour and all who served aboard her, and to take heed so that the same doesn't happen again. May no-one else be forced to suffer the same fate.

Do not return to Kepler 438b."

Read my new sci-fi short story, Far Beneath the Distant Stars, for free, and vote for it in Inkitt's #BeyondTime science fiction contest.

My new sci-fi story, Far Beneath the Distant Stars, is in Inkitt's ‪#‎BeyondTime‬ science fiction contest. If you enjoy reading it, please vote for it by giving it a Heart*!

*Not a real heart, of course, that'd be a bit macabre. Just the Heart button at the bottom of the screen. You may need to sign in with Facebook/Twitter/Email to place your vote.

The Slice-Sabre, the pizza cutter of a Jedi Knight. Not as clumsy or random as a knife; an elegant utensil for a more civilised kitchen.
