Questions for Adam Heine, author of IZANAMI'S CHOICE:

Do you have or want robots, Adam? Are you a tinkerer?

As much as robots fascinate me, I'm not a tinkerer and don't have any creations of my own. Programming and AI, however? That's something I'm very interested in. I spent several years studying computer science and applying it to everything from games to government projects to dumb little programs that would solve Sudoku puzzles. AI, in particular, has always fascinated me, and the evolutionary programming concepts that build the world of Izanami's Choice are a direct result of that fascination. Those concepts may not realistically be able to bring about machine intelligence any time soon (let alone before the 20th century), but they do make sentient machines plausible.

You can find out how machine intelligence might have come to prominence in Adam's new book IZANAMI'S CHOICE, available at Broken Eye Books, Amazon, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, and IndieBound.

It's release day for IZANAMI'S CHOICE. We recorded the audio for the first chapter and made it available for free. If you have a 15-minute break, you should have a listen.

Nerds on Earth enjoyed IZANAMI'S CHOICE: "Heine did so much in so little space; its kind of amazing, really. I’ve read books three times as long with half the content. Solid characters and characterization; succinct but great world building; mystery; treachery; plot twists. Its all here, and its all good!"
