More fallout from the firing of UVA's President, Teresa Sullivan.  Bill Wulf is (was) one of the most distinguished members of the UVA faculty.

And the Faculty Senate is holding a vigil on the Lawn tonight to support Sullivan's reinstatement.
Professor William Wulf began his career at UVA in the early 1960s as the first Ph.D. student in the school's then nascent computer science department. On Tuesday, June 19, he ended his UVA career as t...

Sign a petition to change the MPAA's rating of "Bully," an educational documentary about the effects of bullying. The movie received an R-rating for use of obscenities. The rating would restrict the audience, preventing those under 17 from seeing the movie in theaters without an adult.

One thing that worries me about biking in the city is having my bike (or some part of it) stolen. So I'm excited about getting a NutLock from this Kickstarter campaign: http://kck.st/1vaIdbs #LockYourNuts
Nutlock: A beautifully designed bike lock that protects your bike wheels from getting stolen. ►Has many nut & key variations!◄

I've been a little skeptical about this movie, but the trailer looks interesting.

Oz: The Great and Powerful Trailer

This movie has been on my radar since I heard about it.  Consider it a prequel to The Wizard of Oz.  Ever wonder how Oz got there and became the powerful wizard that he was known to be?  This movie answers that question.

Sam Raimi is directing this one, and it stars James Franco as Oz, Mila Kunis as the Wicked Witch of the West, Michelle Williams as Glinda the Good Witch, and Rachel Weisz as the Wicked Witch of the East.

Call me crazy, but this one has my interest.  What do you think of it?  Worth your time, or another example of the lack of fresh ideas from Hollywood?

+Siva Vaidhyanathan (my former law prof.) writes about the developments surrounding the unexpected firing of the University of Virginia's President, Teresa Sullivan. It's a good, if unsettling, recap of what's happened.

I can second the statement about a flooded email inbox following her ouster. It seems every UVA-related organization is expressing their outrage and confusion over this.

A Google+ tip for organizing your Stream/Circles.
I've been adding more people to Circles lately, and my stream has indeed become crowded. I like this method for getting things under control and will give it a try. I've been needing to overhaul my circles anyway.

Also, I didn't even know Circles had sliders! Very useful.

CIRCLE MANAGEMENT
---------------------------------------
+Margie Hearron pointed out earlier today that +Sharon Vaknin, an editor at CNET.com with over 12,500 followers, is struggling to filter the noise from her stream. And I want to help! =D

I have very carefully built my circles around a system that I am now going to share with you. This is my secret weapon to circle organization.

I'm a very visual person, so I worked really hard to make this slideshow to (hopefully) explain the process as clearly as I can.

May it inspire you to grow your circles to include a lively network of active people!!!

Many great thanks to all the early adopters who provided tips when I first joined last July! I'm standing on the shoulders of giants!

Had Dave's Border Burger--it was delicious. Great service, too. Our waiter voluntarily brought us five beer samples. Great beer, of course.
