+Richard Hughes+WOGUE So archlinux has disabled Packagekit support by default in Gnome-Software 3.22, thus essentially making Gnome-Software a Flatpak-only portal. The justification was that Packagekit was too unstable on archlinux, which isn't wrong, but still a total bummer. I hate having to use the CLI to install and update 'certain' applications, and a gui for other. And, it seems to go against the whole purpose of Gnome-Software which is to abstract out the confusion from users, and make apps simple and elegant.

My question to you guys is this, where do you see Flatpak fitting in with well established distributions with large software repos? When should I favor the flatpak variant of a package in place of the one in my distro's repos?

+GNOME +WOGUE Hello friends,
I've been an avid Gnome and Linux advocate for years, and I have come to think of this community as my family. Unfortunately I come to ask you for your help.
My 41 year old sister with Down Syndrome was just recently diagnosed with brain cancer, and our family is running out of the resources to help her win this battle.
I dare not ask you for you money, but please share this link to raise awareness for her cause. I feel like I have done all that I can on my graduate school salary, and I hope you can find it in your heart to share my gofundme page.

Thank you all!

+Richard Hughes I don't know if you noticed, but all app folder functionality is broken in Gnome-Software 3.20.x

Any chance you can find time in your schedule to check it out?

+WOGUE +GNOME Do you guys also experience this bizarre, but funny, issue with Gnome's audio panel?

So, Biotechnology does not historically mean Biology + Technology, but rather means to produce valuable product via biological organism.

I feel like this term is wasted in 2016. I feel like I should take back this term for my research into Neuroprostheses - the true Biotechnology ;-)
