Started by Brit Morin, Brit + Co. is a lifestyle brand that provides the digital generation with savvy shortcuts for their online and offline lives.
Brit + Co’s content hub is online at Brit.co or available on mobile devices. The team also designs and builds software applications, the first of which is Weduary, a social wedding website creator that helps brides and grooms easily create a wedding site that connects their guests before the big event. In September of 2012, the team launched their first foray into commerce, Brit Kits, a monthly do-it-yourself project subscription service. Also available is a DIY Starter Kit, sold individually or at a discount with the subcsription.
Since starting the company in late 2011, Brit + Co. has attracted a following of more than 2 million people across the web. The company has partnered with businesses like Intel, UNIQLO, Fab, L’Oreal, YouTube, Alloy Media, 3M, Nikon and more. Brit has also been featured in publications like the LA Times, Glamour, People, Lucky, Forbes, Parade, USA Today and Fortune, and serves as a regular contributor on TV shows like the TODAY Show and Katie Couric’s daytime talk show, Katie.
Prior to starting her own company, Brit's most recent work experience was at Google, where she spent four years helping to launch and grow strategic products like Google TV, Google Maps, Google Search and iGoogle. Previously she worked in iTunes at Apple as well as at the mobile photo-sharing startup, Radar (sold to Shutterfly in 2007). Brit currently serves as an advisor and investor in technology startups. She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin, and currently lives in San Francisco with her husband, Dave and their dog, aptly named, Pixel.
