The Bridges of Light Foundation is building bridges to a brighter future for at-risk Central Florida youth with its Educational Tutoring Program (ETP) since 2004 through partnerships with the Orange County Public School System and a local foster care facility, Great Oaks Village. The ETP provides Central Florida youth with personalized one-on-one tutoring and mentoring in order to increase academic confidence and success while simultaneously building life skills to help them become productive members of society.

WALDORF ASTORIA ORLANDO AND BRIDGES OF LIGHT ANNOUNCE CULINARY ADVENTURE MENU FOR THE 12th ANNUAL PLAYERS BALL “AN EMMIE AFFAIR”

Orlando, Florida (August  26, 2015) – The Bridges of Light Foundation (BOL) has been giving the gift of education to at-risk Central Florida youth since 2004 and relies on a large portion of their income from their annual gala. The Annual Players Ball is a local favorite on the Central Florida “fall-ball” scene.

Now in its thirteen year, the planning team has informed guests to “Expect the Unexpected.”  They are presenting “AN EMMIE AFFAIR” at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, on Saturday, September 19, 2015, registration starts at 5:30pm.  This year they unveil EMMIE, the education owl in the new logo. Her name has come to symbolize the core values of the Foundation as it is an acronym for "Educate, Mentor, Motivate, Inspire, and Empower."
