This week there is a lot of activity here in Dallas commemorating the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination. The highlight for me was meeting the two surviving surgeons who treated JFK and Lee Harvey Oswald at Parkland Hospital. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear details from individuals intimately involved in the events of that weekend. Until this week I generally took for granted that I work in this historic hospital.

Oh my, I never knew that was even there. What a humbling experience that must have been, and what a privileged moment to share. I an humbled and honored to have you share this.

I vaguely remember shaking hands with the President at my graduation, but vividly recall the Thunderbirds flyover. It is unfortunate that this year's USAF Academy graduates will not have that experience.

What a shame, almost a national discrace, clipping the T-birds wings. It's a sad day for the US.

First the USAF Thunderbirds, and now the Blue Angels. Hopefully these aerial demonstration teams will be back in the air soon.

This potentially fatal accident demonstrates the value of a well-organized disaster response system. Also, all of the credit should be given to the first responders from Dallas Fire-Rescue, and the plant workers, who skillfully and safely extricated Mr. Bermudez.
