Fog and trees, they go together like carrots and pea soup.

Paul cleaned the steep section on Steer Ridge Road pulling 20 or 30 extra pounds.  Impressive.

I tried to tell the guy that his jeep had an exhaust problem, but he didn't get it.

Let's ride, before I shiver too much.
There was a moment at the top of Spike Jones where Chris asked "Is that a cloud?"  And the conditions quickly turned from blue sky to windy, foggy, cold.  When on the mountain, one must speak kindly of the clouds.

Bike Packing.   Paul towed limited camping gear for an overnighter on Wilson Peak with Chris.  I rode along for the fellowship and to watch the sunset.

Ribbit.

We get a little rain and the forest comes alive.  Crossing a creek in the woods, I saw a Mourning Cloak Butterfly (which I've seen only a few times).  I stopped, admired it, took a photo.  Then I looked down and spotted this Sierran tree frog.  This guy is tiny, less than an inch long.  It paused for a few photos, then leaped a foot away and then again off into the unknown.
