Fe*(Ct + Ho) = Cv + Et
Great design balances artistic techniques and principles with scientific precision. And that combination gives us designers a lot of tools to work with.

Cool stuff: Peugeot's 'Food Truck': Le Bistrot du Lion
The dynamic ‘Le Bistrot du Lion’ is compact and perfectly at home within the hustle and bustle of a metropolis. Featuring short front and rear overhangs to provide enhanced manoeuvrability, with a long wheelbase to offer considerable load volume, the Peugeot ‘Food Truck’, once on site, spreads its wings to double its width, offering a versatile space that can easily be adapted to any environment.

Accommodating 30 persons comfortably, with separate areas for food preparation, eating and refreshments as well as a DJ booth showcasing the new digital music platform launched by the brand, PEUGEOT MUSIC, which offers web radio and exclusive playlists (http://peugeotmusic.com).

Further entertainment is provided for true foodies, who can benefit from interactive access to the chef’s every move with the aid of a 46-inch screen, a set of 8 high-end FOCAL speakers and 32 tweeters, strategically placed at the edge of its wings in order to retransmit even the faintest mouth-watering sizzle.

To ensure the Peugeot ‘Food Truck’ is completely functional and in compliance with all standards and food hygiene regulations, Peugeot Design Lab turned to Euromag, the French Food Truck specialist. The professional-grade preparation and cooking appliances are all designed to be multi-functional, in order to adapt to the inspiration and talents of any chef and type of cuisine, from fine dining to fusion and molecular gastronomy.

On board, chefs benefit from two grilling plates and four induction burners as well as a deep fryer. The ventilation system ensures optimum air quality and a 400-litre refrigerated under-foot compartment allows food to stay fresh. A 350-litre refrigerator keeps drinks cold, and a professional espresso machine, by Rocket Espresso, provides patrons with delicious coffee at the end of their meals.

Not only does the Peugeot ‘Food Truck’ provide a one-of-a-kind dining experience, it does so at no expense to the environment, having been specially designed to recuperate and recycle all waste.  Once folded up, ‘Le Bistrot Du Lion’ leaves the city in exactly the same state as when it arrived!

Peugeot has selected the talented French chef Sven Chartier, of Saturne and Le Clown Bar in Paris, as the first culinary tenant of ‘Le Bistrot du Lion’.  An ideal pairing of the brand’s first mobile restaurant with a chef who respects and believes in local sourcing and organic farming.

Chef Chartier will be using the latest Peugeot salt and pepper mill set, which was designed to accompany the truck in all its culinary travels. With 2.5 million units manufactured each year and sold worldwide, the Peugeot salt and pepper mills hold a prized place with the world’s best chefs due to their precision and durability.  This newest duo, dubbed the ‘Milan’, is the brand’s latest homage to the alliance of the culinary arts and design.

The ‘Milan’ set is the first mass-market mill designed by Peugeot Design Lab. It will initially only be available for purchase at the French Pavilion during the 2015 Milan Expo, and will subsequently be distributed through PSP Peugeot (Poivrières Salières Production) sales outlets. The ‘Milan’ set, made at the PSP factory in Quingey, France, is made of Beech wood locally sourced in Franche-Comté forests and boasts the unique U-Select system, which allows the user to precisely adjust the size - and thus taste - of the grounds using six size settings.

Seven Things They Need to Fix in Periscope

I love the new Periscope app, but there are a few things in there that are keeping it from being "App of the year" and a few of them are pretty major. If you get a sec, I wrote an article on it right here: http://bit.ly/1Ca7f8Y
