Happy 5th, Chrome!

Thanks to everyone who has supported Chrome over the past 5 years. It's been an A-MAZING ride. We are assembling a 4,000-piece marble maze run here in Mountain View, and our team in Tokyo created a fun birthday edition of the World Wide Maze project so you can enjoy the festivities with us from home, at http://goo.gl/FnOp7

Hard to believe it's been 4 years since Chrome came out.

Four years ago, when the Chrome team launched an initial, beta version of the browser, the web was a very different place. Head over to the Chrome Blog for some reflections on how the web (and how people use it) have evolved since 2008: http://goo.gl/nkj7q.

If you’d like to travel back in time to some cool moments in Chrome’s history, check out out the new Chrome Time Machine below. If you find the hidden clue and type in the secret code, you might be able to secure yourself a special birthday gift from the Chrome team....

Heh. In 1990 I played games on a friend's Amiga that let two players play on the same computer, split-screen, using two mice, the real version of the Multitask mode Google jokes about here. I have never seen any other computer offer the same feature; though you can have multiple physical mice, they move the same pointer.

Our new indian chef at Google is incredible. His food is some of the best I've ever had and he's got videos for many of the dishes on youtube.

I agree. He is the executive chef in our Baadal now. Baadal should be counted as one of the top authentic Indian 'restaurants' in south bay now.

After a lot of hard work, I'm really excited to see us launch Chrome for Android Beta today. We set out to bring the full capability of desktop Chrome to Android and rethink the browser from the ground up for phones and tablets with a touch interface. It's great to see my open tabs across all my devices, my favorite feature.

Try it out on your ICS phone or tablet and let us know what you think https://market.android.com/details?id=com.android.chrome

I wonder how often they need to restock.

They must have to restock it every day or two. Am wondering if it gets soldout.

Incredible work from the Chrome security team!

We had the first successful exploit at Pwnium yesterday (https://plus.google.com/u/1/116651741222993143554/posts/5Eq5d9XgFqs) , and today we've already rolling out an update to protect our users. The team took less than 24 hours from initial report to verification to fix development to getting a fix out. we take the security of chrome very seriously for our users!

Excellent. Top floor rooms have an incredible view. Room 61 is the best in the house. Finishes in the rooms are top-notch and the welcome drink was a nice touch. Location near the T1 tram line is very good. Also, as a bonus wifi is nice and fast throughout the hotel.

Vive Sol is my current favorite Mexican restaurant on the Peninsula. Margaritas are overpriced, but they have Negra Modelo on tap so who needs a margarita?
