The Independent: NHS worker who gave Muslim colleague Christian book loses appeal against suspension. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIw9ZW8jio

Wow, you can't even give someone a book? Interesting that it seems to be the employer (NHS) and not the employee that is on a crusade against spiritual conversation.
A Christian NHS worker, who was suspended after giving a religious book to a Muslim colleague, has lost her appeal against a ruling that the decision was lawful. Victoria Wasteney, was found guilty in 2014 by her employer, the East London NHS Foundation Trust, for "harassing and bullying" a work friend. The 39-year-old had given her colleague a book about a Muslim woman's encounter with Christianity.

The case in question does not seem to be as simple as this article paints. I'm surprised that in reading this it isn't obvious there is a lot unsaid in the details that could make this go either way. You can find a number of much better detailed descriptions than this if you want to be able to cite references upon which to base a dialog.

Gizmodo: The Last-Minute Decision That Saved a Mission to Mars. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIw54CQjCQ
In August 2012, millions of Earthlings watched live as a hovering sky crane dropped the Curiosity rover onto the surface of Mars, 140 million miles away. Rocket scientist Adam Steltzner was on the front lines for that mission, and takes us behind the scenes in his new book, The Right Kind of Crazy: A True Story of Teamwork, Leadership and High-Stakes Innovation.

A nice read to help you understand the technical side, as well as a bit of the cultural side, of software engineering. Certainly some hyperbole, etc in there but on average it rings true. :)
The world belongs to people who code. Those who don’t understand will be left behind.

Handsome space, enjoyable stay. Valet parking only and a bit pricey for that.

Great hotel for reasonable price. Very clean, comfortable, spacious room, included fridge and microwave. Pool was a hit with the kids, though a little chilly. Breakfast tasty, warm (eggs, potato, etc) and not just generic packaged carbs. Will stay here again!
