Succinct, cutting, and sad.  I had great hope that tighter European integration would help drag the south closer to the norm in the rest of the continent but that seems not to have happened.  Let's hope the new Italian government can use the impetuous of the recent crises to make some progress.
Tourism ought to be to southern Italy what oil is to Norway: a blessing and a source of wealth.

Terrific time at the LADEE launch last night. We had a great view from the shoulder of Chincoteague rd. We could see rocket from the launch pad on up. Here is some terrible video I shot (I was mostly watching with my own eyes and binoculars).  The noise was not all that loud and there was no sensation of pressure or vibration.  Well worth the long drive.  Something I'll never forget.

"The Good Wife" on CBS, broke my heart this week. There are so few great T.V. shows. It's sad to see this one diminished.

Could something so simple have so many benefits? I'm feeling oversold. Still, it's not expensive, hard to do, or overly time consuming, so why not?
