Welcome to another edition of The Pace Report featuring pianist and composer Geoffrey Keezer performing new music from his latest CD "On My Way To You". This is Geoffrey's first trio CD in 12 years and it features guest vocalist Gillian Margot.

Geoffrey has been extremely busy over the last decade backing the likes of Chris Botti and David Sanborn. With his new CD, he's been playing a handful of trio dates with Mike Pope on bass and Lee Pearson on drums.

Last week at Mezzrow Geoffrey played a week of duo performances with saxophonists Donny McCaslin and Steve Wilson.

I spoke with both Geoffrey and Gillian before their set to talk about new record and how they collaborated on the music. Also how Kickstarter helped with completing "on My Way To You".

For more info on Geoffrey's upcoming club dates please visit him online at www.geoffreykeezer.com.

Welcome to another edition of The Pace Report featuring pianist, composer, and educator Antonio Ciacca. Ciacca is the Program Director of the International Jazz Festival of La Spezia in Italy which is celebrating their 50th Anniversary.

The kick-off the the La Spezia Jazz Festival took place at the famed Minton's Playhouse in Harlem and featured a special performance with Antonio Ciacca with guest appearances from NEA Jazz Master Benny Golson and Paolo Asti, cultural affairs director of the La Spezia Jazz Festival.

Antonio's band was backed by Clovis Nicolas on bass, Darrell Green on drums, Andy Farber on Tenor Saxophone, Matt Martinez on Alto sax, Scott Reeves on Trombone, and Jamile Staevie Ayers on vocals.

I had a chance to sit down with Antonio to talk about the upcoming jazz festival and his American roots as a up and coming jazz pianist.
