• 10k Ohm resistor
• Photovoltaic sensor
• HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor
• 951WG magnetic contact switch
This chapter will be devoid of what you might consider an actual robot. The interesting aspect of implementing physical security systems is that although they may lack innate wow factor or a feeling of futurism, your creations can easily become a natural part of your daily routine.
One example would involve replacing the button of a garage door remote with a transistor wired to an Arduino. A Node.js application can then allow you to send SMS messages to the garage’s dedicated phone number, which would toggle between opening and closing the door.
