Inspired by digital culture, I am fascinated by the data underlying social networks. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram offer free services in exchange for data on the information and images we share, and, in return, that data allows us to connect to others without geographical boundaries. I am interested in combining other values from the same hashtag to look at how social networks are evolving through communication, connectivity, and image. How are users imagining beauty? What does fear look like? love? hate? And how are users leveraging social technology to connect those ideas?
