$225K for a day's worth of hacking.

"The story of the day was Korean researcher Jung Hoon Lee, who worked alone under the name lokihardt and earned the single highest payout for an exploit in the competition’s history, a staggering $110,000 in just two minutes....Lee wasn’t done and went on to bolster his daily total to $225,000 later in the day by using a use-after-free vulnerability to take down Safari"

Another reason to spend more time outside.

"After studying more than 4,000 children at Sydney primary and secondary schools for three years, they found that children who spent less time outside were at greater risk of developing myopia."

Very cool and fun.
I'm waiting for this guy to convince some venture capitalists that it can be used to visualize the bond market or some such thing.  Boom!  He'd be a gazillionaire.
Visualizing a Black Hole. A real-time simulation of the visual appearance of a Schwarzschild Black Hole. Go to live demo. (this most definitely needs a modern browser with WebGL. It also works with many smartphones). Having issues?
