"Milky Way Meditation" by Ken Lee
Himalayas, India: From the photographer: "After ten days of clouds and seemingly constant rain, the sky was finally clear. Clear, I say! I was so happy. High above Leh near Leh Palace, I watched the moon set and smiled as the Milky Way slowly emerged, one of the first times I've seen the Milky Way in the Northern Hemisphere. And I had the photographic equipment to capture it in all its Himalayan glory at approximately 3657m/12,000 ft. in elevation."

Nikon D7000, Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens. Light painted the stupa. ISO 1600, 30 second exposure

Five Islands Night Panorama

Prints & Portfolio: http://goo.gl/9dqYD2
On 500px: http://goo.gl/u5mWab
On Flickr: http://goo.gl/1uJBLh

This image is a 9 shot panorama of the Five Islands, Maine area featuring Mink (smaller, right) and Hen (bigger, left) Islands, the full arc of the Milky Way galaxy and quite a bit of all-night light pollution coming from the local wharf. Stitched via PTGui and processed through Lightroom 5 & Photoshop CS5.  I also shot a two hour time lapse at this location which will be featured in my upcoming short film Shot In The Dark.

Look at the hospital C-suite moves made so far in 2014 and you'll see that facilities tend to hire outside candidates for CEO and promote the COO if they do look internally. They all but ignore the CIO when filling the corner office -- but that might actually be a sign of respect.
