Four oz flask of Manhattans prepped for tomorrow's long weekend two night tour. Anyone else have any civilized touches they take along?

I've been working on some cardboard buildings for Infinity, which some of you may have seen on the official forums but I haven't posted here yet. I put together a gallery and post over on my blog.

The building is roughly 10" long, 7" tall and 6" wide or so, and has a unique footprint designed to go around two sides of a hexagonal courtyard piece.

Not everything has to be lasercut!

I posted a clickbait article with this photo attached, but rather than reward random clickbait websites, here's the original photo over on Flickr. Anyone feeling like that would make a ridiculious Infinity table? https://www.flickr.com/photos/gucky/460709827

Grabbed the chance to get out of town and over to Salt Spring Island last weekend on a S24O solo trip. Ruckle Provincial Park is an awesome and easily accessible escape hatch!

One detail I missed on BC Park's website, though: the drinking water is shut off between Nov 1 & March 1. Another water bottle or two would have been a good idea...

Regardless, it was a great overnight escape with the bike!
Great view roughly south from Ruckle Park, with one of the Victoria-Vancouver ferries in the background. Love this spot, and it's so accessible from Victoria with the bike.

I just found out about this very interesting project – The Great War on YouTube. Their plan is to do at least one episode a week all the way through to November 2018, covering the Great War in “real time”, as well as extra episodes for background material…

I wrote a post about the progress to date on the second building I've created for Infinity, which is a warehouse/workshop building with a couple of big doors. Half a dozen photos along with the article.

Yet another post of short links, news, random bits, and oddments that wouldn’t warrant a full post. Laser-cut MDF for early motor vehicles? They look pretty good, actually, and they’re 1/3 the price of resin & pewter vehicles. I might have to make an…

... and now the Wordpress to G+ "Share This" thing starts working again? Damned odd. I don't understand computers.

Also, I'm talking to myself...

Started some urban scatter terrain for Infinity, to help get rid of the all-too-common "crates scattered in odd places" thing you see too much of on Inf tables!
So I've been persuaded (OK, it didn't take much...) to get into Infinity, the fast and lethal science fiction skirmish game from Corvus Belli. I've been vaguely interested in Infinity for years, bo...

I've seen Marc C's inspirational stuff on the official Inf forums - I'm "Wirelizard" over there. (same little orange lizard logo as here!) What he does with card is inspiring and awesome.

This quote has been rattling around in my head for a while, so grabbed one of my photos from a trip earlier this year and created this. Feel free to share as you want.
I discovered this quote a while ago, it's been rattling around in my brain for a while, and tonight after getting home from an interesting evening out I decided to commit this to pixels. I'm not entirely satisfied with it, in classic own-worst-critic fashion, but it'll do for now. Original photo over here.

I never knew Hemingway said this. He really put into words why riding a bike is such a great way to experience where we are, whether it is an everyday ride or a far off adventure.
