My guess why pepper spray is banned is the potential use against law enforcement during arrest. It is the only viable excuse why anything is banned. Has nothing to do with protecting people from each other. Cops just don't want to get shot or sprayed.

PERSONALLY I am indifferent to the notion using any of these things for self-defense. I don't subscribe to the fear created by the media whenever something bad happens. And I feel safe even though I live in the middle the worst area of Surrey (Vancouver Suburb)

That said I think people have the right to be free to own weapons that are not projectile base for self defense. I have a slight problem with projectile weapons like hand guns, throwing stars, bazooka’s for use as self defense because some one panicking can end up hurting other people in the distance. Giving a weapon to some one untrained to use said weapon might end up being even more hurt by a attacker then had they cooperated.

I don't like the idea of conceal carry for hand guns. The notion of a handgun being a deterrent to crime is utter BS. Crime is a symptom of social and economic issues and those cause that. The possibility of being shoot while robbing some one is not going to stop some one. If anything it will make them more violent perhaps killing the victim first then robbing them. I do agree with the concept of open carry. That is a handgun holstered and visible to every one as a deterrent. But I would expect any one given such a license to have a very good amount of training to go with that.

But I agree with everything you said about banning items being ridiculous. I prefer not banning but rules on how something is used and how its appropriate for use.

OK there we go. Google+ is much more usable now that I left the communities I had joined when this first started. The amount of spam that came across my wall was just to much. Now I actually see the posts from friends.

I always thought that the point of having a sword on a back was for transport only, a disarmed state or non combatant state. In places like markets, common areas and places of relax so you are not a threat to those around you. Its ass backwards to have a sword on the back as a means of being in a ready defence state.

Cressey is the owner of Nacel Properties Ltd, the absolute worst residential property management company in all of Canada. They mistreat employees and renters. They bend the rules when ever they can and often get away with it. They allow the buildings to get into pretty bad shape before they do the most minimal repair and service work on them. Most of there properties are infested with Rats, Mice, Bedbugs, cockroaches. Complaints about broken elevators or heating systems that don't work or lack of hot water results in evictions not repairs. They use unqualified workers to do repairs and fail to get the proper permits or the required inspections on repairs to save a buck. They are hostile to renters that show any sign of knowing there rights in regards to renting. They invent and create phoney damage on move outs to keep damage deposits as well. I lived in more then one Nacel Property in more then one city and its all the same.

I have been taking all my pets here for 7 years. They have looked after my cats, dog and small critters with exceptional care and quality. While slightly moderate in price the value from the care and the atmosphere is well worth it. Lots of knowledgable and talented people on staff. Never any doubt to qualifications of staff. No cause for any concerns. I highly recommend them. Eve. Though I now live in Surrey I will still make the trip for my pets.

I have been coming to this location for almost 14 years. The food is good the decor is good and the service is good. While I can't say anything is out standing about this location, compared to many other Pizza Hut locations I have been to this is by far the best one. The staff is friendly. The other guests here are all friendly too.

This seems to be a family run restaurant. The lady and her husband are friendly. The place was clean. The decor was nothing special except for a wall painting that was the entire wall. This was neat. We ordered Fish & Chips. It was what we where looking for which is what lead us to this place. They also have a full Chinese food menu, western menu and everything else under the sun on top of the Fish & Chips. While being polite I have to say this was the absolute worst Fish & Chips I have ever had in my entire life. It was so bad it creates a new scale for me. The previous worst Fish & Chips where great compared to what we got. I really do not know how some one can ruin french fires but they managed to do it. I will never go back there. I will never recommend it. I will go as far as to warn people not to go there. Nice couple, nice place but just awful awful food. I wouldn't go back even if some one else was paying.

While in the area we decided on getting a treat of Gelato and did a Google Maps search for the nearest place. Presto Cucina was close so we went here. The decor is great, it is right out of a romance movie. The woman serving us Ice Cream was very helpful finding non dairy Gelato, which only a couple flavours where and gave good portions for the Gelato we ordered. As for the Gelato itself it was the best Gelato I have ever had. I can not think of any other time that I tasted such good Gelato. When in the area I am going to try and stop here more often.
