My story from yesterday: representatives with the Washington Redskins were in South Dakota this week to meet with the chairman of the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe. The topic of the discussion was the team's use of the Redskins name and logo.

Did you know that Strider Bikes originated in Rapid City, South Dakota. In fact, the company's world headquarters is still there. Yes, I said world. Don't know what a Strider Bike is? Click on the link and take a look. They're pretty cool.

A lot of great companies started in someone's garage: Amazon, Apple and Google to name a few. We found another company with a similar garage background and what they've been able to is also very impressive.

Cattle producers in north central South Dakota have endured serious drought conditions in 2002, 2006 and 2010. Now they're wondering if they will see it again in 2014. Already the region is low on moisture. Please take a look at this story Troy and I produced last night about producers who have learned to survive these conditions and share it with your friends who work in the ag industry. Thanks!

In north central South Dakota, they're wondering if this year will be their year for another drought. The Mobridge area endured a painful, major drought in 2002 and again four years later in 2006. Four years later, in 2010, drought came again but was not as bad. And now...four years later....producers are wondering if this cycle will hit them again.
