Not only that type of problem but my timing of screw-ups is always the worst. Here's the latest example.
Today I'm working on my website, trying to reduce errors that accumulate until the log files bloat and cause more errors (kind of like that song).
Somehow I accidentally moved the the pub_html folder to another location. If you know anything about web-servers, this is a huge mistake. Basically I knocked my website off-line. Almost crapped my pants.
And for a couple minutes I was unable to locate where I moved the folder to. So I started an 'emergency' chat session with my hosting company. Here's where the "Timing" part comes into play: I get the following message that they had to evacuate the building due to a 'minor emergency'.
I hope everything is OK down in Virginia Beach. I've checked the news and nothing about Virginia Beach is coming up so it probably is a minor thing.
After seeing the warning from Inmotion, I went back to the file manager of my site and located the missing directory and got things back up and running.
So next time you are about to crap your pants, remember to take a moment, and stay calm & carry on!
