"These various projections are the equivalent of every alarm in your house going off simultaneously. And then every alarm on your street going off as well, one by one by one."

Are you ready to fight for our future?

I absolutely am, Mogul.  In fact, I am digging out my alarm-smashing hammer as we speak.

I saw OK Go live at KOKO this evening in London, February 13th 2015. "When Tomorrow Comes." "Let it go. This too shall pass." "Get Over It."
All good advice after a long, depressing week of travel and work meetings. Thanks! #okgo   #london

Google Now, on my Android Wear watch: "Looks like you're alone in a foreign country with nothing to do on a Friday night. Did you know one of your favorite bands is playing at a famous club nearby, and tickets are available?" If this is the future of corporate surveillance, it's scary... but it's also the future of personal assistants, and that's kind of intoxicatingly seductive, and... uh, I forgot what I was saying. I'm seeing OK Go tonight, woohoo! :D

The reviews are pretty glowing overall, with just a few low scores bringing the averages down a bit. Who would imagine that a 1998 game would pull in scores like this in 2015?!

like the other article said, we're at a point now where we appreciate it more than when it was released.

I took a great trip down memory lane with some of the original Grim Fandango team last night at a launch party for the game that never had one. Today I'm playing Year Three with the Double Fine Game Club... Starts in 30 minutes! https://double-fine-game-club.github.io

Divestment Day! If it's wrong to wreck the climate, then it's wrong to profit from that wreckage. Is an institution or company that you rely on profiting by investing in the fossil fuel industry? Are your own investments in stocks or funds that generate profit from ventures that are part of the problem, rather than the solution? Take a moment to make your voice heard by moving your money, or letting those who are so invested know that you want them to move theirs. #divest   #fossilfree
Together, we will show that we are a truly global and growing force to be reckoned with. As the fossil fuel industry throws more money at fossil fuel expansion, we will turn up the volume of our divestment movement. And we won’t stop until we win. Join us for Global Divestment Day on February 13 and 14 and together, let’s make fossil fuels history.

It's very gratifying to see that something I poured everything I had into can still resonate with people so many years later.
There wasn't anything like Grim Fandango when it first came out in 1998. Nearly two decades later, there's still nothing that comes close. The adventure game tells the story of Manny, a salesman...

Introduction
(Sent here via a nastygram by Robert Šebo? Read this please.)

I grew up at Lake Tahoe (where no, we didn't just ski all day), then moved to Fremont, CA for my high school years. After that I got degrees in Applied Math and Computer Science from UC Berkeley.

Since then I've lived all around the San Francisco Bay Area while working in the video game industry (where no, we don't play games all day). I was lead programmer and co-designer on the award-winning adventure game "Grim Fandango" at LucasArts before joining Sony Computer Entertainment America, Inc. where I've worked for fourteen years now running a large portion of the developer support group. (That means I spend my workdays making sure great people get great help to make great games for great consoles.)

I live in Castro Valley with a terrific wife and two ridiculously cute children, a loyal pup, an aggressively affectionate kitten, and an indifferent iguana.

Improbably for a lifetime geek, I've become something of an endurance sports person. After finishing my first marathon with Team in Training in 2010, I worked my way down a list of sprint-distance triathlons, then ran the Brazen Racing "Ultra Half" trail half-marathon series in the summer of 2012. That helped me train up for my second full marathon in December 2012, CIM in Sacramento (which I finished despite all odds being stacked against me). I've also run a summer relay race around Lake Tahoe with friends and family more than once, and did the Run For Your Lives 5K zombie obstacle course/race in Onalaska, Washington (very fun, totally unlike normal races).
