Testing out the fujifilm X-E2 with the 23mm f1.4 lens. Love the shallow depth of field in these images - and they were taken in pretty dark conditions. No photoshop - just resize.
I'm starting to take the camera out more and more - where before I left my DSLR at home - too big to bring to a dinner party.
What are your thoughts on the new generation of mirror-less cameras? B

Quick edit of the blood moon from the other night.
I like this one because the sky is not totally black yet. What do you think?

Moonee sunrise. Found this little gem which I have missed for 10 years now. Driven past this beach many times and have never stopped here. Wonder how many more beautiful places there are that I have passed - maybe it's time to slow down? B

Found this natural bee-hive on my parents farm. Got in really close to photograph these bees - maybe too close. Got stung on the head while filming a YouTube video on how to photograph wild bees, and my brother was rolling around on the ground laughing at me.
He got stung too!
Photographed with a fujifilm X-E2 and 23mm f1.4 lens.
Could I have gotten any closer? Brent

Well, I think Rokinon makes an 8mm fisheye for X-mount, if you'd really like to get up close and personal :-).

Surfer enjoying the perfect condition at Lennox Head (northern NSW, Australia).
Took this image with my 400mm lens - after getting a pounding on these waves - I did catch one really good - BIG wave - about 4 times the size of this one - but then took another 3 on the head. Water still dripping out of my nose a few hours later!
Maybe stick to photography hey?

Photographer living my dream
Introduction
Grew up in Africa, lived in the USA and now I'm in Australia. I'm a full time pro photographer, living my dream on the east coast of Australia, stones-throw from the beach. Started and run a photography studio, shooting family portraits (mainly on the beach), models, couples, kids, babies, some landscapes and fine art photography.
Love the outdoors, surfing, kite-boarding, running etc, basically always moving and continually have to pinch myself....living in paradise. Oh yes, it's time now to give back to all those awesome photographers that gave their knowledge to me, so on my website (http://www.brentmailphotography.com) I am teaching everything I know, in video format to those that are interested. Have a great day. Brent
Bragging rights
Met and married my wife BEFORE meeting her parents, imagined a shotgun in her dads hands and me running for my life. All good now, I wrote a letter :)
