If you're a perfectionist, it could be seriously holding you back. Here's how to start to move past it.

Makes sense however I often find that people nowadays will take advantage of 'pauses' and speak over you.  Either you end up attempting to interrupt the person by speaking louder, arguing, or not getting a word in.

Similarly, if you talk too slow people will get impatient or lose interest.  Changing the focus of the conversation or leaving it all together.  I see this with friends and coworkers all the time.

There has to be a certain level of confidence, respect and maturity for some of this to work in a normal conversation. #lifehacker

i noticed my own overuse of the word "like" for "reply" or "said." i decided there were better words to more...creatively...accurately...be used to communicate. now, i tend to feel like i've lost if i end up using "like" for anything but comparison.

Ordered a few drinks and some tacos. I had 1 Shock Top from the tap, 1 Shrimp Taco, and 1 Turkey Taco. Those tacos were fantastic!! The atmosphere was nice (we were outside) and the waitress was very polite.
