I just asked my watch what the score to the Germany and Brazil game was on the way home and it just said it was disconnected, though it wasn't. Tried it three times. Anyone getting sports scores yet?

My Google Play Order says that my #lggwatch is shipping by July 3rd, today. Does anybody else see this? Anyone have a shipping confirmation yet?

Thanks for the number. I called and they said it would be mailed by midnight tonight, which sounds weird but what do I know about shipping. I asked to have the shipping changed to two-day since they confirmed it would NOT be delivered on Saturday (UPS) and they gave me a full refund on the shipping.

Android Wear and the Moto X

I was really on the fence on whether or not I wanted to replace my Nexus 5 with a Moto X 2014. I was a big fan of the original Moto X and loved all of the features that Motorola added to the software, but after getting an LG G Watch, I wasn't sure if those features would still be as useful or novel to me as they were before. I ended up going for the Moto X, mostly because of the hardware design and display. However:

I don't really need Moto Display anymore, because I've got the watch right on my wrist. I've actually disabled it!

Having Moto automatically silence the phone during meetings was very useful for me before, but now my phone is essentially always silent because I only receive notifications on the watch. If I don't want to be disturbed, then I just silence the watch.

When I want to ask Google Now a question or make a note and my phone isn't handy, I simply lift my wrist and speak it into my watch.

So some of the best things about the Moto X are now kind of unimportant to me. I wouldn't say obsolete, but the watch has "solved" these problems for me in a better or simpler way. The design is still unmatched, in my opinion, and it's difficult for me to imagine replacing it.

I've realized that one of the things that might hold me back from replacing it with a Nexus 6, the software experience, isn't really as important given Android Wear. At this point, if the carriers aren't going to get in the way of software upgrades, I'm leaning towards a Nexus 6.

What do you think? Do you think the Moto software features and Android Wear solve the same problems in a different way? Do you find that you use the Moto X features less because of Android Wear, or vice-versa?

A friend of mine also prefers sizes in the high 4" range, and that's what he's planning on getting too. It really is a shame that they didn't make a version the same size as the original X. It's such a nice design and so well-made--it'd be nice if it was available in small, medium, and large.

Hey, gang.. I just got my watch a few hours ago, and I feel like the movement sensor to wake the phone's display is suuuuuper sensitive. It seems like it's always flashing on and off and my battery's already 87% from 100% after just under three hours. Anybody else seeing this or know of a solution?

I always wear my watch faces on the inside of my wrist. Could this have something to do with tripping the sensor more often than it should?

Good point, +Tj Hariharan, but I plan on charging mine every night anyway. It very easily lasted all day the first day, even with heavy use. Maybe if I know I'm not going to be able to charge it if I'm traveling or something I can turn the screen off to try to squeeze out two days.
