[TAKE ACTION] New technology may not be perfect, but right now I need to see a real reduction in the obnoxious robocalls that interrupt my day and introduce me to scammers. The phone companies should be taking the lead, not making excuses.

Frustrated with AT&T tech support.  You call expecting someone with a basic understanding of networks and computers.

"What is your issue?"
""90% dropped packets"
"Is that a program?"
"No"
..5 minutes later...
"Are you connected to the modem"
"Yes, direct to the modem"
"Do you have another router connected?"
"No, direct to the modem"
"Are you connected wirelessly?"
"No, direct to the modem with a cable"
...5 minutes later...
"Sir, what kind of system do you have?"
"Linux"
"I'm not familiar with that brand, is that Windows."
"No, it is Linux or Ubuntu"
"I haven't heard of that computer before. Is it Windows 7 or Windows 8?"
"It is not Windows"
"Can you spell that for me?"
"L   I   N   U   X"
...10 minutes later...
"It looks like you have an issue with your modem. We will have to send you a new one. ... We will be sending you a text message by email with the tracking information..."

5 minutes worth of information took 45 minutes to converse.

When he was only two-and-a-half years old, our son Rhett was diagnosed with leukemia. For a long time, his immune system was so compromised that he wasn't healthy enough to be immunized against diseases like whooping cough and measles. Because he couldn't be vaccinated, Rhett relied on his classmates being immunized (what’s known as “herd immunity”) to keep him safe. But in our home state of California, parents can send their unvaccinated ch...

Really Comcast. You have to go crying to the FCC when someone says something bad. The irony is that you claim the same things right on your website. No, each instance of on demand HD programming does not count as a "channel". Instead of whining to the FCC, why don't you work on your reputation as the most hated company in America.

I first read about Monkeybrains 6 months before I moved to the city. It seemed too good to be true; 20mb for $35, no data cap, no Comcast/AT&T. Called them up. Two guys came out the next day and installed a small antenna in my window. That was it. Consistent 20mb at night. It slowed during the day, since there were businesses using the service. Rarely went below 4mb, which was usually at the end of the work. VOIP, Netflix, Pandora, Xbox Live, etc. all worked flawlessly. The worst part about having Monkeybrains is now I'm jaded. I recently moves to San Jose and there is nothing like them. AT&T charges $75 for any sort of service call. Paying $65 for 6mb and a 200gb cap.

I've been alternating between two local Starbucks for three months now. Staff is always friendly at both. Quality is generally up to Starbucks standards. This particular Starbucks attracts smokers from a smoke shop around the corner. You can't avoid them to getting in or out. For about a month, they were forced away from the door. They slowly migrated back to the store front. Not only is it annoying, it is illegal in Santa Clara County to smoke within 30ft of a restaurant door OR outdoor eating area. Now if someone would just enforce the law.

I had a bad transmission. It wouldn't downshift on heavy acceleration and refused to go into first. They had their transmission expert look at it. 20 minutes layer, they identified the issue. $2500 rebuild. Got a second opinion at the local Dodge dealer $4500, same guarantee. The car was ready in a week. Runs like new. They didn't try to upsell anything either. Definately going to go back for future service.
