There are way too many Food/Wine/Beer/Tequila festivals going on this weekend in #SanDiego. I only say this because I can't attend them all...or any of them.
San Diego is the place to be this weekend! Check out this amazing list of top things to do with events from Mexico to Carlsbad and everything in between!

While I will be enjoying a wedding this weekend, you should be taking advantage of +San Diego Museum Council's #MuseumMonth 50% off admission deal, cheering on the pros at +Farmers Insurance Open, becoming an Avenger at +The Marvel Experience or celebrating +Karl Strauss Brewing Company's 26th anniversary.
Explore 45 museums for half price, see the world's best pro golfers compete at Torrey Pines, become an Avenger and more at any one of this weekend's top things to do in San Diego.

Since San Diego Chargers fans have nothing to do this weekend, why not check out the Whale Watch Weekend and Intertidal Life Festival at the Cabrillo National Monument or dine at a new place during San Diego Restaurant Week.
With sunshine forecasted for the long-weekend, why not head to San Diego and enjoy everything from outdoor adventures to these top things to do.

Farm House - Daley Ranch

Discovered the wonderful #DaleyRanch in #SanDiego's North County. Great trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.

It's hard to judge #SDHolidayWonderland since Stephanie and I were given the royal treatment during our visit and Alessio loved looking at the lights and riding the train. The upsell costs seem a bit high, but then again, it is in a stadium and prices are always high there.

Have you been yet?

Holiday Wonderland at Petco Park Brightens San Diego

With the baseball season over with, the Padres are bringing festive cheer to Downtown San Diego by transforming a baseball stadium into the Holiday Wonderland at Petco Park.

Find out more: http://bit.ly/1yB6zaq

With all that Holiday Wonderland at Petco Park has to offer, visitors can easily have a wonderful night of festive fun. Just be prepared for the upsell costs and know that many of the activities are geared toward kids 4, if not 8, and older (in my opinion).

What's your opinion on #SDHolidayWonderland?

Top Things to Do in San Diego - January 27 - February 1, 2015

If you're not going to be watching the game-which-shall-not-be-named-for-fear-of-legal-action this weekend, I would highly suggest stopping by +Balboa Park for the Spreckels Organ Society's free concert with...wait for it...the Von Trapps!

Top Things to Do in San Diego - 23-28 December 2014

It's #Christmas and that means one thing...football!

If you're not into the bowl games (or if Steph's Bears aren't playing), there are a few more fun things to do this weekend including the Port of #SanDiego's Big Bay Balloon Parade and all the normal holiday fun.
Hopefully you are lucky enough to spend the Christmas weekend in San Diego enjoying the warm weather, plenty of college football and these top things to do.

Yes, I am a born and raised San Diegan who doesn't know how to surf.
Introduction
However, I do enjoy cycling, craft beer, running, traveling, watching James Bond with my wife and son, and social media. I am also discovering the finer arts of high end spirits (e.g. whiskey).

When I need a break, I spend time at the San Diego Tourism Authority (SDTA) office managing the content on SanDiego.org and playing "Editor in Chief" of the San Diego Travel Blog all while planning and executing SDTA's Social Media program of work.

When that becomes boring, I have fun on the side with Skypotato Productions, my website/social media/email consulting something or the other.
Bragging rights
Ran 4 half-marathons in a year, met the first and last men to step on the moon and many of those in before, in between, and after.

Mission Trails Regional Park is one of my favorite places to escape to. Even though I am still in the heart of San Diego, I feel like I am in another world surrounded by native floral and fauna. There is nothing like taking the puppy for a walk on a bright and sunny afternoon making sure to take a brake under the shade at the Mission Dam.

Located in the Wonder Break building just across the way from PETCO Park, the Mission Brewery is a great place to stop off for a local brewed beer before a Padres Game. Watch out for the delicious Shipwrecked. Two is the max with its 9.0 ABV! They do not serve food but do allow you to bring in something to chew on from the outside. They are also frequented by food trucks.

It is world-famous for a reason. You can spend an entire day exploring all that the Zoo has to offer including a monkey trail, elephant odyssey, polar bears, pandas and so much more. Make sure to take the time and check out the vegetation which is actually worth more than all the animals combined (pandas included). Dining ranges from fast food to fine dining and they try to use mostly organic ingredients which is great. If you are bringing a family, consider purchasing the membership which might be a cheaper option.

I had a great experience here when making copies for my thesis. The staff was very, very helpful and made sure that all of my copies came out just right. I will be back if I ever have another big print project.

Open 24 hours! Breakfast also served all day. Great place to stop off after a night out in North Park, University and Normal Heights.

Cheap Pizza along with a selection of Greek food including the prerequisite Gyro. Not bad but not great.
