Community Question  -

For some reason or another on the linuxluddites web page I have a problem expanding the show notes on qupzilla on linux which is a shame as I like qupzilla as a broswer even though it doesn't have that many users and even the hosts don't know that much about it. I seem to like it more and more considering how firefox have gone off and seemed to basically try to copy chrome with there ui and it even has a nice built in rss reader. It is based on qt which means it will be nice for lxqt. It least the problem is not sites telling me I am using an old version of safari.

Discussion on previous show  -

I don't think the ubuntu phone screen is that bad while listening about the ubuntu phone I had 96x64 and 6mhz processor on my ti-83 plus. But I am on my i5 haswell desktop instead of my pentium 4 boxes because better performance and less power.

Also regarding the phones not being powerful enough for content creation. Isn't a point and shoot digital camera a production device. The small lcd screen on the back isn't the best for viewing pictures you get a much better view on a laptop or desktop monitor but is mainly for taking pictures. However if your only camera is on a smartphone this is makes it more of a consumption devices as you don't watch youtube or listen to podcasts on a point and shoot digital camera.

Yes I am. I think creation and production capapbilites of a device are not a linear scale but rather two dimesions that grow or shrink unevely based on interface. Also an increase in consumption capabilites of a device could cause users to consume easier so they substitute out of using it for productoin. Low tech examples like a transitor radio can be only for consumption yet a typewriter is production but the hardware has the capability to do both in smartphones it is that the applications are sort of decided endogenously based on what previous applicatoin people have used and get developed and know about. I don't think most production vs consumption for devices is more people running off a cliff like disney missatributed to lemmings yet people still belive this because other people do.  Even though the technical abilites are there it seems masses of people do not try to think is this really progress and only blindly march forward.

My customized lubuntu 15.04 Note I have a vm running which should explain some of the high memory usage.

My testing of lubuntu 15.04 and I was testing lxappearnce changed theme and the yuyo-gtk-theme radiant-mate icon theme and lubuntu default window borders and I quite like the way this looks.
