So, there's some clunky writing, usually involving the epic stupidity people are plagued with when it comes to figuring out Palpatine is BAD. But all in all, the "Clone Wars" cartoon is really pretty great.

On Netflix streaming now is The Last Days on Mars. It's a relatively predictable space zombie film with good performances, a lightning-quick plot and a good mixture of Alien fear and Gravity danger. Recommended.

+Tristan Bowersox It was a compliment. I'm a fan. Fallon is awesome, and has really brought something new to the world of entertainment, by integrating good music with comedy for the first time in almost 60 years.

I know this is a great innovation for a serious problem, but it looks real Clockwork Orange horrorshow, y'know?

Space Eye-wash | International Space Station
We all know what to do if something harmful splashes into our eyes: wash with lots of water. As with many things in space, however, a simple operation on Earth can become quite complicated when floating around in weightlessness.

Imagine you are an astronaut on the International Space Station and a fleck of dust gets in your eye or you accidentally splash chilli sauce or something even worse in there. Where do you get the water from and how do you rinse your eyes? There are no flowing-water taps and even if there were cupping water in your hands is impossible in zero-gravity.

And think of cleaning up afterwards – water floating around electrical equipment in space is not a good idea.

Engineers came up with the idea seen in this picture. ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst is practising the space version of “wash copiously under running water” at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, USA. The goggles are connected to an eyewash solution that is pumped around the eyes and then away.

Although the contraption might look painful, Alexander comments: “It does not feel weird, but on the contrary it is good to know that we have these items onboard.”

This medical refresher course is getting Alexander ready for his Blue Dot mission that begins May 28, 2014 when he leaves for space with cosmonaut Maxim Suraev and NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman for a six-month expedition on the International Space Station.

On a quest for fat superhero ideas, I went hunting for Bouncing Boy from the Legion of Superheroes. This dude cosplaying is awesome.

I enjoy the Clone Wars, especially now that it's all streaming on Netflix. My only complaint, and it's a complaint for much of my TV and movie viewing lately, is when supposedly smart characters do dumb stuff for no reason. Or don't notice other people do stupid, suspicious stuff because it doesn't fit the long-term plot.

...

...

Case in point (spoilers): They find a big Godzilla-like monster. Palpatine just HAS to bring it ALIVE back to Coruscant, the most populated planet in the galaxy, for study. Why would you do that? Why not take it to some unpopulated or less-populated world? Then it gets out, and no one anywhere down the line blames Palpatine. As Red Letter Media points out on their prequel reviews/skewerings, Palpatine and the Sith must have some extra-special mind control powers that make otherwise smart, sensitive people completely ignore his suspicious behavior, evil plotting and stupid mistakes. It's baffling.

Baffling and all too common. I make a joke of it in Flummox. A party decides on the wisest course of action, then goes right ahead with the worst.

The grounds are kept in good shape. The maintenance team is responsive. The neighbors are good, a mix of singles, families, college students, etc. It's a little on the expensive side, but can't complain with the results!

Good healthy choices as well as reasonably hearty fare. Too busy at peak times because of its small footprint.
