SF6, sulfur hexafluoride, is a colorless gas, that looks like air but is heavier than air. :)

Sulfur hexafluoride is an inorganic, colorless, odorless, non-flammable gas. It has a density of 6.12 g/L, higher than the density of air (1.225 g/L).

#science  is fun :)

Cab companies are middle-men monopolists that screw cab drivers out of most of their earnings...which is why I'm happy about the recent successes of ride sharing apps like Uber and Lyft. The next time you need a ride, use them! Most of the time, the rides are half of what the cab companies charge...and the drivers usually show up in less than 5-10 minutes

Introduction
I'm an factotum entrepreneur, atheist, Zeitgeist Movement Advocate, transhumanist, futurist, programmer, writer, t-shirt humorist, and avid fan of the great outdoors.

I read at least four hours every day, usually more, on almost every subject. I am fascinated by all fields of science and technology, and make it a point to continually grow my understanding of our amazing universe. The future truly excites me...I'm eager to see how far our imaginations will take us.

I own and operate several online stores and services. My latest venture is Doomd Ink, a custom t-shirt shop in Boulder, Colorado. Though I programmed professionally for other companies in the past, now I only program for my own businesses and collaborations. Programming for your own ideas makes it a hell of alot more enjoyable!

I love to backpack and camp and be outside in the wild. I've successfully through-hiked 500 miles of the Colorado trail a few years back, did the hardest section of the CDT (Colorado), and I recently hiked the John Muir Trail in California this summer.

I'm now living in the foothills of Los Angeles with my girlfriend, who is studying to be a doctor. While she's learning how to save lives, I'm teaching myself how to make the electronic music I've always wanted to make...

Doomd Ink prints custom t-shirts in 5-10 minutes. First you pick out a shirt (or hoodie), then you can pick one of their designs...or a graphic artist will help you create a design from scratch or from your favorite images on the web. Then you pay for it and you can either come back a little later, or hang out on the super swanky lounge area and read a magazine (there are lots to choose from). You won't be disappointed!

Huge selection of wonderful Mediterranean inspired food. This is my "go-to" restaurant in Boulder, especially if someone from out of town is hungry and I want to impress (without going broke). The restaurant is big for Boulder, and has a few different sections. I prefer the patio for Lunch and the west room for dinner (it's more intimate there, and has its own bar). The staff is always helpful and prompt, and the food is ALWAYS great, if not excellent. If you want to fill up without spending too much on dinner, they have an excellent happy hour in which all their Tapas (and they have like, 50 tapas) are half off. Even if they aren't half off, they're not expensive. Lunch is a bargain, and dinner is very affordable too. They offer pastas, fish, pizzas, and as mentioned, tons of appetizers. They also have a HUGE selection of wines and drinks...maybe the biggest selection in Boulder. I highly recommend this place.

It's Denver's international airport. And unless you have a private aircraft, you don't have many other choices but to use this airport to get into the Denver area. As far as airports go, it's clean, there's plenty of parking, rental cars, shuttles, taxis, and buses out of the area...and it's not too crowded. If you have to go to Denver, the cab fare is about 50 bucks...and Boulder is close to $100. They do have flat rates so make sure you confirm the rate with your cabbie before you leave so you don't get overcharged. Shuttle Vans range in price from about $30 to $40. And last I checked, Buses to Denver were about $5...and buses to Boulder were about $13. You must have exact change for the buses so stop by a store before you leave the terminal to get some ones and fives. The airport is 4 main buildings connected by a train that runs every couple of minutes. The main building is the Main terminal which has an "East" and "West" side. Then there's the A, B, and C terminals. The east and west terminals are actually in the same main building (where you drop off passengers for departures on the top level, and pick up arriving passengers on the bottom level). This is also where all the short and long term (expensive) parking is. It only takes 90 seconds to walk from one side to the other, so don't worry if you get dropped off on the "wrong" side. It's easy to correct. If your flight is in the A terminal, just take the bridge/walkway to it...it's usually faster than taking the train because the security lines on the bridge are usually shorter. If you're in the B or C terminals, you'll go through security in the main terminal, then board a train that will stop at the A, B, and C (in that order). It only takes 2-5 minutes to get to the correct terminal. Airport security, in general, is not the fastest here...but it's not the worst either. I'd arrive 60-115 minutes before you flight to ensure that you can check your bags and get to your gate before their cutoff time (45 minutes). First Class, and higher level airline membership holders can take the shorter lines reserved for them.

First...a backstory: For Christmas, I wanted to install my "old" enclosed dual subwoofer system with a brand new amp in my girlfriend's car. She's a bass junkie...and I wanted to get it all done right. Stupidly, I went to Best Buy...paid $250, waited 8.5 hours at the Barnes & Noble next door, and then eventually drove away WITHOUT the subwoofers working. The "expert" at Best Buy told me that my brand new amp was, "without a doubt", faulty. I re-ordered another brand new replacement amp from Amazon, and rescheduled an appointment with this corporate wage-slave again so he could install the new one once it arrived a few days later... In the meantime, since I highly suspected the Best Best guy was in fact a moron...I started troubleshooting each component of the system he installed. After finding several flaws in the install job (please read my Best Buy Glendora Review if you want details), I decided to go buy a few parts to see if I could fix the error myself. The closest place to my house was Mission Audio... I pulled in, asked for a small cable terminal that I needed, and he immediately gave me the part, and wasn't going to charge me for it. I imagined the hours of work I had ahead of me trying to troubleshoot the problem as an amateur...and decided to give this professional a shot instead. I explained my ordeal with Best Buy, and asked if he could diagnose the problem. Within about FOUR freaking minutes...this guy had tested my subs, tested my amp (with a multimeter), and tested the RCA input into the amp from the head unit (which was the problem). Best Buy took 8.5 hours to incorrectly install my amp and subwoofers (and incorrectly diagnose the problem with their BS installation)...but THE GUY AT MISSION AUDIO FIGURED OUT THE PROBLEM IN LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES. Apparently the RCA connection from the stereo's head unit wasn't outputting ANY sound...because the tap into the connection wasn't complete! The Mission Audio guy tapped into the existing subwoofer's speaker cable line with a clean connection (because it had more signal strength there), installed a high to low converter, ran the line with clean, invisible cables back to the amp under my seat, and within minutes had the entire garage at Mission Audio bumping with BASS! He and his assistant then tuned the amp and bolted it down properly, double checked all the connections throughout the entire car (especially ensuring that the power and ground connections were secure and safe), cleaned up everything...and vacuumed. I had my problem diagnosed, fixed, tuned and polished...in less than 30 minutes. It was clear to me that if I had Mission Audio do the entire job (install the power cable from the car battery as well), he probably could have had the whole thing done in an hour. It is obvious while watching this guy, that he has been doing this for the 18 years he claims he has been doing car audio. His movements are deft, decisive and FAST...and his assistant follows him around the car with a bag of tools...ready to hand him whatever he needs...it's like watching a world renowned surgeon on an operating table..."screwdriver, please...multimeter, please...vacuum, please." For car audio problems or installs, I will never go to any other place but Mission Auto ever again. I don't write alot of reviews, but this guy inspired me to let others know about his shop...I sure as hell wish I knew about it before foolishly driving a half hour away to Best Buy! PS...my girlfriend LOVES her new system! Thank you so so much Mission Audio!

I recently started eating a Paleo diet, and this restaurant's menu was able to accommodate me without me having to make a fuss (except when I asked for the salad with no cheese, which was no problem). The food was superb, and the service was prompt and friendly. The bartender that was working at the time, Kevin, was hilarious and entertaining (which is nice when you're dining alone at the bar). He also recommended a wine that complimented my meal perfectly, and introduced me to some of the regulars. The interior is stunning. I couldn't stop staring at the intricate details of the ceiling and the cabinetry work behind the bar. Whoever did the interior design on this place deserves an accolade. It is a swanky, but tasteful take on classic mid-century modernism. It's a cool place to be. Being there after 5 minutes, I felt cool...and who wouldn't? It's lit like a cocktail lounge, busy, but not overcrowded...and the jazzy music in the background is peppered by frequent laughs and easy conversation. I couldn't stop looking around the place and smiling. Their formula is magical. And when I stopped looking at the decor and stopped marveling over the food, I saw a few TV stars enjoying cocktails with with an entourage of movers and shakers. This place is apparently a hot spot for celebrities that want enjoy great New Orleans food without being bothered by autograph hounds. It's a hot spot for anyone, really, who wants to enjoy good food, great cocktails, and new friends.

The rooms are ok...once you get into them. When I arrived to checkin to the room I had already reserved, I got there about 5 minutes earlier than my girlfriend (we were coming off of some hiking trails and I desperately had to pee so I rushed ahead). There was no line at the reservation desk. The woman at the desk confirmed my reservation, but said she required the credit card I had already made the reservation with before I could get our keys. As my bad luck would have it, my girlfriend had the card on her...but I still had the card #'s written down. That wasn't good enough. I would have to wait until my girlfriend arrived with the actual card (even though we had already been charged for the room when booking it online). I didn't make a fuss about it, but did ask where I could use a bathroom in the meantime. It was down the hall...so I left for a few minutes so I could finally relieve myself. When I got out of the bathroom, my girlfriend was in the lobby looking around for me. We saw each other and then proceeded up to the check-in counter together with her credit card in hand. By this time, there were about 5 or 6 people standing in line at the reservation desk. No problem, I thought...I was actually here before everyone else...and just had to give her the credit card. NOPE. I would have to wait in line behind everyone now, according to the same woman who had seen me 5 minutes earlier. So, my girlfriend and I, after 14 miles of hiking that day, had to stand in a line at the lobby for 32 minutes (yes, I timed it) before we could get keys for a room we had already reserved, and already paid for (online). The room was decent, but the customer service ruined this hotel for me. I would never recommend it to anyone until they replace the front desk staff. I can't believe places that hire inept employees are able to stay in business.
