Gotta love the internets! Nothing is sacred, ever!
IT IS A SAD DAY ON THE GOOGLE PLUS My friend, mentor, uncle, father figure, squash coach, vocal coach, dance instructor and the choreographer for my third and fifth weddings, +Vic Gundotra is leaving Google to go work for +CNN to help find flight #MH370 . My man Vic, or Lil VG as we called him back in The Mountain View has made notable strides in the improvement of Yahoo's social network by merging +YouTube comments so blueheads can shitpost spam on your two year old threads, he's behind the color change from black to red, all but invented Google Glass while driving his Mercedes Benz to China Town in San Francisco for a good hearty massage after a long day of eating LSD and bugging out in Google Sleep Pods. He loved the finer things in life such as blowing illegal caviar out of $100 Bitcoin bills with me in The Mission.

He will be missed. He was my best friend, and I'm sad to see him go without TURNING THOSE DIALS. Been real kid. Good luck on The Late Show.

The law of unintended consequences!
This showed up on my Burning Man FB Group today and it's got legs.
Cliven Bundy's anti-government act has inspired a counter-event from one of the guys involved in Burning Man (who are known as burners). Welcome to Bundy Fest!

I'm one of the internet only households. When Google offers internet to my home I'll be completely cable company free and I can't wait for that day. My answer to live sports is reliable streaming and local news is OTA. More and more news apps are popping up too with options for local and Chromecast compatible.
But now, he says about six and a half percent of households have only internet service—that’s two and a half million more than in 2010.

The last figure I heard was five percent, so there's probably a tiny bit of wiggle room in the figure, but it does mean that cord-cutters are still in the minority, as I've previously discussed. Sure, you're a cord-cutter, and maybe most of your close friends are cord-cutters, but the overwhelming majority of tv viewers aren't cord-cutters. It might be a growing trend but it's nowhere close to being the majority. It's easy to have a false impression of things when you live within a tech bubble with people who are similar to yourself.
Cutting cable for streaming video has worked in the company's favor.

Agreed and the molesters go there like it is a HOME for them...sick,  sick people should be put on an island with those of like mind... no,  not an island,  but a colony in the desert somewhere...I am over 60 yrs. old and still feel the affects of being abused severely,  but the pig died some time back before I could get to him...well,  at least I have that to hold onto and know he won't hurt anyone else ever.

I am an  opinionated, open minded, redhead. I'm not easily offended and I have been known to offend. Bring it,but I'll keep lobbing the ball into your court with a heck of a spin. I'm very random. Stuff I share  will be glimpses into my daily life, my likes, loves and interests with a good dose of stuff that makes me go WTF?

I take care of animals for a living. I gave up the rat race about 7 years ago and I work for myself. I love it!

I like to travel, to sing, to find spontaneous odd things to do. Living in Las Vegas it isn't hard to do. Walking out of the door can lead to an adventure on any given day.

I also cry at Hallmark commercials and anything to do with harming kids or animals.

Romanticle stories make me smile.

Let's talk politics, religion, tell jokes about anything but keep it civil. Birthers/extremists/conspiracy theorists  who get rude and noisy on my posts get the nuke button. Anyone who gets rude on my posts gets the nuke button. Feel free to disagree but if you resort to name calling, derailing, insulting behavior, any or all of the above you get the nuke. Ain't nobody got time for all  that.

I'm not a techie at all. I ask lots of questions that will make you cringe about how to do things on the computer. My apologies in advance.

I love costuming and SFX makeup. gore is a specialty. Zombies and Vampires make me squeee. Steampunk, Ren Faire, D & D, LARP's.

I'm dabbling in making booze. I've exploded stuff while learning.

Movies, books, music of all kinds. Broadway plays-Wicked is my favorite.

My favorite author is Anne Rice. I love to talk about her other books besides the Vampire series. I love them but many don't know about any others. Let me enlighten you!

T.V. likes include:

West Wing

White Collar

Game of Thrones

The Tudors

The Borgias

Walking Dead

Once Upon a Time

True Blood

Criminal Minds

Movies: not a chick flick fan. I like comic book movies, comedy and way out there crazy stuff like Poultryguist and Hamlet 2.  I also love a good drama, sci fi and fantasy.

Musical tastes are all over the place. Streisand to White Zombie and everything in between depending on mood.

Sports=Contact. Football. Favorite teams are the Raiders for pro, Fla. State and Alabama for college.

I like beer and bacon.

My favorite weapon is a trebuchet.

Did I mention I am a pirate?

Aye, that I am.

Bragging rights
Critters love me. Fuzzy, furry, feathered, scaley. 2nd place in a banana eating contest. I can change a radiator in a parking lot.

This is the most miserable hostel on earth. It's dilapidated and the furniture was dumpster diving quality. I had a private room and it was large. The bed is rock hard and very cheap quality mattress. I was glad to be right next to the ladies room until the parade of showers started at 6 am in the morning and the pipes made so much noise they woke me up. The squeal like a cat stuck in the walls, That went on until 9 am. There neighborhood is terrible. It's not an area to walk around safely at night. The closest store is almost a mile away. There is no common area to watch TV, hang out and meet people. There are two very old computers in the area where you check in but that's separate from the living space and closes early in the evening. I gave one point for the guy that checked me in Friday afternoon. He was friendly, helpful and efficient. The toothless woman that checked me out Sunday morning was a nightmare. I had to wait for her to get off the computer to come and help me, then she tried to keep my key deposit because I checked out a little after 10 am. I had vacated the room and then took my shower and got ready to leave. If I had turned my key in at 10 I wouldn't have been able to get back to the living quarters to shower, you have to go back outside and go in another locked door. We had a very heated discussion about never being told I would forfeit my key deposit if it wasn't turned in my 10 am. I got my money back after threatening to call the police. I guess if you are homeless this would be an okay place to stay but other than that, steer clear. It's a nightmare.

Luis and Eric the owner ripped me off for $1900. Pretty bad for a manager and owner to be the biggest crooks in the business. Had my car for over 2 MONTHS. Never gave me an estimate then soaked me with a huge bill. Said they would pay for a rental car then REFUSED to pay for it. Stay away. Stay far, far away.
