Introduction
Middle aged and surrounded by loving friends and family and living in Kent. Would love to retire somewhere picturesque, with wonderful scenery and views that any photographer would love to capture.

My hubby and I have just started to take up photography and we are total novices.... Thank god for Google+ and their wonderful photographers who are there to help us, not-yet-even an amateur photographers, to capture even better pictures and show us how to achieve wonderful results with the pictures we have taken.

One of my favourites sayings is:

... If you're allergic to bullcrap, drama, head games, liars, & fake people, keep the sneeze going.........I can't wait to see who does all of this next!!!

Scotney Castle - Main House #photography #monochrome #scotneycastle #kent

This will be my third re-work of this picture … of Scotney Castle’s main house.  What I like about the above picture is how the increased clarity and reduction in exposure creates a haunted look to this fine house.

And after you've visited Quex Park it isn't too far to the beach... and on a bright, hot sunny day there is nothing like a paddle in the sea. Taken by Ashley Ryan When we went to Great Dixter in East Sussex on Saturday, just by the car park was this field that was full of grazing sheep. I view was spectacular so I asked him indoors to do a panoramic. So he took 10 shots for me so that I could create a panoramic photo in Photoshop. In order for me to create this panoramic I exported these 10 photos from Lightroom to Photoshop to create this panoramic. I could have created my Panoram...

Tulips from Great Dixter #flowers #tulips #GreatDixter #EastSussex #Photography

On Saturday we went for a little stroll at Great Dixter… lately it has been, due to my health, finding places that are flat, not too far to walk and have a car park with easy access.  And Great Dixter fitted the bill.  There were plenty of resting places,…

Taken by Bren Ryan Today we visited Great Dixter House and Gardens in Northiam, East Sussex... The gardens are exquisite... such beautiful borders and full of spring blooms. And spring is not spring without bluebells, and hidden amongst the borders were these beautiful bluebells. So much love and care must be taken with those gardens, because I have never seen so many spring flowers in any of the gardens we have visited so far this year. Every...

Using layers in your photo editing software is one of the most important things you can do to create great images. Layers are so powerful, even the most basic understanding of them can improve your photography tremendously. The good news is that using layers is extremely easy, and very quick. My Art and Practice with Photography

We stayed for 3 nights in San Francisco back in May 2015, our tour guide showed us the New Village Cafe and we had our breakfast there for two mornings...the food was brilliant well priced and the owner made us feel more than welcome. At our first breakfast, the owner asked if I wanted my toast made with sour dough bread... I didn't know what it was so ordered the white. he sent to our table two complimentary slices of sour dough toast for us to try... I fell in love with sour dough bread... The only regret I had was that on the third morning in San Francisco we left so early that I didn't get a chance to go back to the New Village Cafe... I would highly recommend this friendly cafe should you ever be in San Francisco.

We went for Valentines Meal, and the food was fabulous and they were very friendly. A great night with great food and wonderful atmosphere. We would both highly recommend this place for food, along with their reasonable prices.

We have been to Sheffield Park Gardens a couple of times, and love walking around the lakes.. It is well maintained, beautiful and ideal for a family day out. There are plenty of places to picnic and we will definitely be revisiting in the spring. Our only regret is that every time we have visited the waterfall is not working.

A lovely place to visit. We have visited Nymans on several occasions, have to say that Saturday was the busiest we have ever seen it. Still had a great time.. such spectacular views and lovely gardens.
