I had a very pleasant car buying experience here. The sales person was very well informed and I got the car I wanted for the price I wanted. I'm happy that I don't have to car shop often, but when I do, I'll be coming back to shop here.

Let me start by saying that I bought a Honda Civic from this dealership about 2 years ago, and the experience was not bad. However; I have had some issues with the vehicle for the past 6 months. I understand that vehicles have issues so I decided to continue with my vehicle and took the car to the service dept where it was finally fixed. Recently, I have been wanting to trade in my car for something bigger like an SUV, so I had called and inquired about the Honda CR-V 2014. After deciding that I wanted to get a 2014 EX model I went ahead and started the process of getting the vehicle. Needless to say my credit score is no less than 750 and could buy a car anywhere. I decided to give this place a another chance. After agreeing on the numbers, the salesman called my credit union to get a 10 day payoff on my Civic. The payoff I had given him was off by about $107 dollars, because I called to get the payoff for the same day and when you get a 10 day payoff the amount changes a little bit. This UNPROFESSIONAL salesman and Sales Manager decided that it was a good idea to call me “DISHONEST”, YES they actually called the customer dishonest. I ask this question; do you really think I will let $107 dollars get me away from the deal? NO. I would have paid the difference if necessary, no problem, I was ready to finance $23,000. Do you really think that $100 would have broken the deal? NO. This UNPROFESSIONAL AND INHUMANE salesman opened the door and pretty much told me to leave! I DO NOT recommend this dealership AT ALL. I WILL NEVER BUY IN THAT PLACE EVER AGAIN. Honda Corporate is also aware of this mistreatment. There is many other places to buy a car. Please follow my advice whether your credit is good or bad; please do NOT EVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE!!

BREAKAWAY HONDA BODY SHOP COLLISION REPAIR: My vehicle was involved in an accident. I figured that since Breakaway Body Shop was part of the Bradshaw Group which owns several dealerships in the Greenville area, it would be a reputable shop. Boy was I wrong. First of all, I was coerced by BBS (on behalf of the other party’s insurance company) to use USED parts from a JUNK YARD. Second of all, I don’t think these people could screw a cap back on a milk jug, let alone work on cars. After they took three times longer than the initial estimate to finish the repairs, I got my car back with huge gaps, panels that don’t align, paint defects, loose parts, missing parts, they used the wrong fluids, and more. Aside from the major problems, corners were cut all over the place (things like pure tap water instead of washer fluid, which froze on my windshield and almost caused a crash). Even friends, family, and coworkers commented on the glaringly obvious poor quality of workmanship. When I pointed these issues out to BBS, they simply refused to make things right. I was kind and reasonable, and made a list of my main concerns. They responded by being rude, condescending, and unwilling to do anything. They even ganged up on me, 3 employees against just me, telling me that the problems weren’t their fault… it was extremely unprofessional. By the way, Greg was the main employee who I had the displeasure of working with. One issue I had, for example, was that I noticed they put in a different battery than the one that had been in my car (a new one I had recently gotten). When I got my car back, the battery was a different brand, was filthy dirty, and looked older. I asked that they give me back the battery I had, one comparable to it, or if they can’t find it then get me a new one. They ignored my request. Two weeks later, I was left stranded due to a battery problem. I then had to purchase a second new battery. I should’ve sued. Another thing was that they caused damage to other parts of my car while it was in their possession. For example they put a large scratch on a door handle. I asked that they fix it; Greg insisted it was there before they got the car. I said no, I know what they condition of the vehicle was, and that scratch wasn’t there. He insisted that it was, and took me to his computer to show me the pictures of the car they had taken when they received it. The scratch wasn’t there. He had caught himself in his own lie. So, that was one of the few things they did go back and fix. The people at BBS are deceitful and rude, and the quality of their work is poor. I’m not sure how these people are still in business. I spoke with another customer right outside the shop and she was having many of the same frustrations as me. I ended up selling my car for a significant loss because the repair was done so badly. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Whether it’s a brand new Rolls Royce or a 20 year old subcompact, you can’t trust these people. Take your vehicle somewhere else.

Don't expect much customer service. My family and I are looking for a minivan and wanted to see what the Honda Oddysey had to offer. I called ahead to see if they had the trim that we were interested in and I was told they did. When we showed up it wasn't on the lot. Frustrated already, I asked about it, and was told that it was on their other lot. No offer of help, nothing. When I found it (without any other direction than what was already stated) it was blocked in by at least 20 other cars and there was no way that we could look at it. 45min drive and my day off wasted. Thanks Breakaway Honda. You've not only pushed me toward a Toyota Sienna, but have narrowed down my dealership options for me. I sincerely hope you can be as helpful to all of your potential customers as you have for me and my family.

I had the oil changed in my car here and the job they did was fine, but they use a marketing company in California that calls you back and wants you to do a survey about the service. They call repeatedly until you take their survey and even if you tell them that you don't want to participate, they keep calling. I think we got 9 calls before we finally took the survey just to make them stop. An oil change shouldn't come with strings attached.

They don't have time to deal with you. Not willing to work with you on your trade or give proper communication. Went to Toyota and had a great experience!

Went to Breakaway for the extended paint warranty to fix the badly fading/cracking paint. American Honda covers the paint job but not a rental car. Breakaway said I would get my car back in 2-3 weeks. This would be a huge expense for a rental car. I called other body shops and they all quoted 5 to 10 days max. Apparently Breakaway Honda does not even use their own body shop for this and sends it out to another dealerships's shop. Although they wouldn't tell me exactly where my car would be for 3 weeks, even though I wanted to have some dent repairs quoted by the shop. The dealership I ended up going through for this was 45 minutes away. But they just had me go to their body shop directly for the paint inspection, then I dropped my car off the following Monday and it was done that Friday. Saved 9 days of rental car fees and got to know where my car was going AND got to speak with the body shop directly for other work I wanted done.

The only thing I didn't like is that they do NOT tell you about having to pay property taxes within two months of purchasing the car,(to the tune of $400.00) and lied to me saying ALL taxes and fees were covered in the loan. It just seems very shady of them to lie, because had they told me the truth, I would have NEVER bought a new car from them, and that is why they do not tell potential buyers. Now, I may not be able to keep my car, which means they have gotten a few months payments and I will probably lose my car...yes, very shady of them indeed.
