I am trying to read it but  if I follow the instructions and search your name it doesn't show up, and if I pull your feed up on flipboard this post doesn't show up... :(

In the last four years I’ve posted often on construal level theory. First discovered in the context of how differently people think about the distant future, construal level theory says that people think either using a near (concrete) mode, or a far (abstract) mode, or some intermediate mix. In far mode we tend to assume things are further away in time, space, social distance, with fewer relevant categories that are each more uniform internally. ...

James Michael Curley, a four-time mayor of Boston, used wasteful redistribution to his poor Irish constituents and incendiary rhetoric to encourage richer citizens to emigrate from Boston, thereby shaping the electorate in his favor. Boston as a consequence stagnated, but Curley kept winning elections. This is from Edward L. Glaeser and Andrei Shleifer, "The Curley Effect," May 2002. An excellent area Jiu-Jitsu school. - Facilities: Clean and well organized. Two massive mats allow for two simultaneous classes, usually a fundamentals and advanced class. Mats and surrounding areas are kept clean and free of clutter. Mats are in good condition and well maintained. - Instructors: Rodrigo and Carlos are both professional, skilled instructors. Both talk clearly through techniques, demonstrate moves and requirements multiple times, and push students to perform at the top of their ability. Rodrigo speaks excellent English and Carlos is good, such that language isn't a barrier. This school teaches the Carlos Gracie Jr / Gracie Barra branch of jiu-jitsu which emphasizes both competitive and survival techniques. Most of the emphasis is on competition quality jiu-jitsu. Students spar daily and the school heavily focuses on active training and a wide range of resistance levels. There are both gi and no-gi classes, but most of the emphasis is on traditional gi jiu-jitsu. I haven't taken boxing here so I can't comment on the classes, but they teach both Boxing and Kickboxing.
