Taking Photos at the White House Correspondents' Dinner

Despite the rainy forecast, I am excited for tomorrow. I'm not above celebrity watching and tomorrow is the day to do it in DC. It's the White House Correspondents' Dinner, where actors, musicians, politicians, and news-folk all gather at the Washington Hilton. If anyone's interested in joining me I'll be out there from 4 until about 8:30 (probably). I may flake on it if the weather looks absolutely terrible.

The attached link is an article I wrote about my experience last year. It was a fun experience.

How did you configure your focus?

I just used autofocus. Nothing fancy. Some of my photos turned out a bit soft but I don't think I would have done any better with manual.

Sounds good +Julian Ortiz. I'm on the fence about going. If it rains, that might encourage me to go because it would scare others away.

these days I cannot trust the weather channel. Remember the W.H. Photowalk. Started raining at 11pm and supposed to rain in the afternoon...

I went for a little while but things got lame when they pushed everyone back across the street.
