I feel that scenes like this define much of S.E. Asia - the ingenuity in making use of whatever is at your disposal, the raw urban textures, vibrant colors providing continual backdrops, and the easier pace of life.

This was probably my favorite image from my recent trip to Saigon, Vietnam.

He awoke shortly after.

My wife taking in the scene in Palawan, Philippines. The waves kept coming in close to where I was shooting, so I had to be quick.

Sony A7RII with Canon 16-35mm f/4 IS (@24mm) with a Metabones IV adapter (to use Canon lenses on a Sony body). This 42 MP sensor is stunning.

One of the most stunning locations I've ever seen. The Sapphire Pool in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. This was taken on our massive 5,000 mile road trip last summer.
It's one of those experiences that you can't possibly capture with a camera. You need to just stand and gaze at the impossible beauty of nature at its finest and avoid the temptation to dive in. This was absolutely the most phenomenal shade of blue I've ever experienced.

Happy New Year 2016 from Manila, Philippines. Took a few quick shots from our balcony - the hotel across the street sets fireworks off from the roof, so it makes for an interesting time dodging the embers. :)

Wishing everyone all the best for a great year ahead! #newyears2016
