In an ironic twist of fate, it turns out that Hawaii is considered US soil (where Obama was born), while Canada is not in fact US soil.

"At common law, “natural born” meant someone born within the sovereign territory with one narrow exception. The exception was for children of public officials serving abroad, which does not help Cruz because his parents were not serving the United States when he was born in Canada. The case of John McCain was entirely different because he was born in a U.S. territory (the Panama Canal Zone) and to U.S. parents who were serving the U.S. military."
The closer you study the Constitution, the weaker Ted Cruz's case squares with the actual meaning of "natural-born"

+Zachary Blubaugh Blah, blah, blah. Obama has issued fewer executive orders than any President in the last 30 years. That aside, all your little arguments are nothing more than BS. You are trying to come up with any reason possible to justify your preconceived belief. The actual court admissible evidence disagrees with you. Just give it up.

"There are things I love about my country. I don’t hate the US and I still return to it a few times a year. But I think the greatest flaw of American culture is our blind self-absorption. In the past it only hurt other countries. But now it’s starting to hurt ourselves."
This is how I lovingly describe my current relationship with the United States. The United States is my alcoholic brother. And although I will always love him, I don’t want to be near him at the mo...

+Ian Hayes exactly right, but it's not vogue to be "technically correct" :) I love it when people tell me I'm only "technically correct", it highlights the shared psychosis of the psuedo intellectual. :D

Chicago Ingress Micro-anomaly! With the craziness of the holidays upon us, a decision was made not to hold a First Saturday event in the Chicagoland area. +Erin RavenSkye came up with a rather cool idea.. Why not have our own little anomaly? So, with the help of agents from both sides, we managed to put together a little event in Chicago's iconic Millennium Park (home to 37 portals). The rules were a bit different - the park was split in two and each faction would build their side up for 30 minutes. At the 30 minute mark, the factions would switch sides, and try to quickly tear down and rebuild the area to score points. A snapshot of the park was taken during the second half hour and scores were based on portal control, links and fields within the park. Any links or fields outside the playing field were not counted. Before and during the event, the Cloud Gate portal (aka The Bean) located in the center of the play field was announced as a volatile portal. Two other portals were secretly chosen to be volatile as well, one on each side.

The competition was immediately fierce with both sides building up their portals with lots of AXA shields and started linking and fielding as much as they could. The half was called and agents quickly began to make mince meat of the opposite field. In the end, the scores were extremely close, with one field being the deciding factor. The final score was:
Enlightened 63
Resistance 68

A great time was had by those involved and as soon as the event was over, we all decided to head inside for a well deserved drink and meal at the Park Grill. We hope to hold more of these events in the future and during warmer weather... 😊

+Victor Linares +Erin RavenSkye did an awesome job organizing. It kind of reminds me of the "pick up" games of Ingress you encouraged players to do way back in the day (https://plus.google.com/+BrandonBadger/posts/aYbUVr6asP1)

+Alex Dunwell nee Grässer +John Richardson depends on whether you understand "answers" as a explanation of a problem (<=>Occam's razor) or solution of a problem. Even problem with the simpliest explanation can have enormously complex solution.

The vehicle misuse is just so they can charge and hold him. More charges will come relating to the takeover. A lot depends on how that plays out. Anyone dies and he's really hosed.
