1 of 3 rooms like this. This is a combination of ... Phone, Ethernet, Alarm panel and electrical.

What I want to know is ... how does this happen. I am going to assume the last admin was just lazy.

American Sign Language version of "Let it Go"

This is really awesome.  I showed it to Peo (along with this British Sign Language version: http://www.leesbslsongs.london/videos/let-it-go-idina-menzel) and we looked at the gloss (which I only just learned means the sign-by-sign translation) here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqCrDI4lFa6NeLyAJMhlK8g/discussion?lc=z13tynw4vkaijfwah04cglzbdlbtgtthn4s&google_comment_id=z13tynw4vkaijfwah04cglzbdlbtgtthn4s

I bought the Multi Language MP3 album for Peo just before we left Austin (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00JG79XHE/kimberlchapmansh) and we've been listening to it when we have time, which isn't often since we're almost never driving around in a car while we're here in the UK.

Anything that brings this song to more people is a plus as far as I'm concerned.  I am not 100% keen on all of the translations (for instance the French one translates the "cold never bothered me anyway" line to "the cold for me, is the price of freedom" (see http://ma-nouvelle-vie-en-france.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/frozen-let-it-go-french-version-la.html) and I think that misses out on some of the all-important and liberating sass of the original line.  She's gone from being a good, reserved, well-behaved woman to a powerful, individualistic being.  Snarking that the cold never bothered her anyway is important to that declaration, so turning into a cost of freedom is a different vibe.

But either way, I love the song and love that people all over the world are translating it and sharing it.

Oh, and I know some people don't like the song.  Fine.  Feel free not to listen.  Nobody's making you.  But if you feel the need to say so, say it in your own space.  Your bile against what I see as a feminist breakthrough song for kids all over the world is not welcome here.  I'm really sick of a bunch of white dudes complaining about not liking the song, comfortable in their privilege and missing the point entirely.

Because to many of us, this song is an anthem of breaking out of restrictive roles and bursting into the world in new, creative, fulfilling ways.

It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me!
I'm free!

Those are really, really important words for little girls around the world to be singing and if you don't like it, that's your problem.  The rest of us aren't going to stop singing it just because it's not your cuppa.  You don't have to listen.  We don't care if you do or not.

I just wish the song had come out before I released "Finding Gaia" (http://findinggaia.com) because Trish would have absolutely made reference to it pertaining to Anna.  I thought of Anna when I first watched the movie and heard the song, and I got teary eyed to imagine her having those first moments of freedom, of finally breaking out of her own repressive society and centuries of fear of her powers being discovered.  Of course her first real taste of freedom came out of horrible loss and anguish, so she wouldn't have been joyful, but somewhere on that road to India there would have been the realization that she was free to start really testing her powers and not have to play anybody's games about it anymore.  And even after India went badly and she ended up in Canada, I'd like to think that those first few seasons in the forests of Quebec saw Anna walking about making this and that grow much like Elsa flicks her ice crystals about to spiral in frozen fractals all around.

And if Anna saw Frozen, she'd see herself in Elsa and be very, very moved.

(But as a teaser to fans, I do know what Anna's first movie is in the sequel, and it's not Frozen.  It's a different musical that Anna finds utterly wonderful and Trish loathes because of one specific line in one specific song.  See if you can guess.  Muahahaha.)

So ... I live on a very busy main street and we end up with lots of stuff along the side of the road. I have found hot wheels, jumper cables, nuts, screws, bungee cords, tools and everything else you could imagine. This morning I saw something in the street and went to see what it was. What I found was a gigantic pair of women's underwear. So along a main street this is not that big of a deal but still a little odd. How does that happen?

We were having a plumber out today to ...replace the toilet in our basement bathroom. He pulls up and starts taking everything out of the truck. Then he sees the underwear. What happens next makes me want to throw up. He pucks them up then takes a huge face full of the underwear like he is going to wear it like a mask and inhales like he is breathing oxygen for the first time. He then wraps them up into a small bundle and puts them in his truck.

I am just lost for words.

When the customer walked in the door my first question would be. So where are your backups? Like you said at the end of the video. School them on how if they had backups they would just restore their old data and move on rather than paying both you and the ransomware people. The second item is to ask them what are you using for antivirus and was it up to date.

We have deployed NUC's all over my company. We also use the VESA mount and put them on the back of 24 inch monitors. They work great and are very inexpensive. If you use Windows Deployment Services and volume licenses for windows then your set.
