It's time for another round of the "NAME THAT BEER!" game.

I tried to choose a beer that had a wide enough distribution that most people would have seen it, while keeping the picture small enough that it wouldn't be too easy.

Good Luck!

Just for reference, here's a link to the previous round:

Four gallons of ginger beer going. Should end up around 5.5% abv and be sufficiently sharp tasting. Looking forward to trying it.

My own hard cider. 11%! I'll age it a bit more but it's pretty damn good already!

In 2004, Shane Carruth made one of my favorite movies... "PRIMER".  It was created for $7000, so it's not surprising that most people have never seen it.  It's one of the best takes on time travel that you'll ever see.  If you are at all interested in clever, independent, science fiction, you should give it a watch.

Sadly, I figured it was his only film.  I guess I couldn't complain because most of us never get the chance to release any spectacular art, so if he did nothing else, he'd still have one up on 99% of the population.

I was wrong.  There's a trailer out for his new film "UPSTREAM COLOR".  It's gloriously confusing and indefinably unsettling, which is another way of saying that it looks fantastic.

PS - Shane Carruth is also selling DRM free copies of "PRIMER" on his website.  If you dig it, support an independent artist and buy it.

I think you might dig it. It's very heavy on mumbly engineers bullshitting as they would in real life while exploring pretty cool time travel issues.  I think that people tend to love it or find it boring.

A small sample of the hard cider that I'm brewing. Born of a custom cider blend from Delaware Valley College. Spiked with a little extra sugar, it's currently sitting at a beautiful 11% ABV! Ready to be bottled soon and aged a bit. Then it's gonna make some heads swim!

Look forward to a tasting, my friends!

The main ingredient in eggs is eggs.  Also, eggs contain eggs, so if you're allergic to eggs, you shouldn't eat eggs.

I am going to buy a bottle of this and sit on it for 15 years. I would love to be able to get 15 bottles and drink 1 every year over the years to see how it changes.

The Lehigh Valley has a fair amount of decent restaurants but one thing that always bugs me is a lack of quality fast food. Sometimes I just want a quick burger and shake but I generally hate the usual low quality chain restaurants. I was glad to stumble upon "The Burgery Company" website and decided to give it a shot. My girlfriend and I stopped by the Center Valley location. I had the "chippewas" elk burger and my girlfriend had the "fighting irish" turkey burger. Both were juicy and flavorful which can be a challenge considering the lean nature of those meats. The burgers and toppings were cooked perfectly and the portion was just right. We also had an order of "black and tan onion rings" which had some of the best batter that i've tasted. You could actually taste the black and tan. The interior of the restaurant is just average but it works for a burger joint. I'll definitely be going back. I like the slightly more exotic choices of meats (the special that day was kangaroo). Some people lament about the price but it's a satisfying meal and well worth it. It's a BYOB so next time i'll come packing a beer.
